I’m not sure what that has to do with you dissing Ernie Francis, Jr... Why did you even feel the need to mention him by name? I suspect you didn’t know anything about him...

“The tracks are low-speed, the races are short, and as a result the cars are kind of inconsequential to the whole thing. They only really need to be accommodating for the racers who have let their midsection expand since retiring, and forgiving to drive for the ones ready for bed at 7:30 pm.”
You’re leaving out one thing, though. The union workforce (and this isn’t meant to be an anti-union screed) needs work, so those factories need to churn out cars whether they’ve been paid for or not.
Clinton screwed up the economy, it just took years to manifest, and the middle east was a shit show long before Bush, and will be for a long time to come. Honestly, you’re imbuing him with way to much influence.
The sci-fi one is pretty cool.
Is it just me, or does the Lucasfilm statement make it sound like she was no longer under contract anyway? Maybe her run on the show was over anyway and we just aren’t aware of it...?
Yeah, it just seems like rich guy shit to me, especially since no one actually needs a watch these days.
I think the take-away from all this is that Wall Street needs to be shut down. The stock market is as fraudulent as a ponzi scheme.
Because the automotive enthusiasts who visit this site don’t need to be told what a Grand National is...?
Yeah, I was there, I remember. Still doesn’t explain why this car was neglected the way it was.
I get all that, but it doesn’t explain why you would buy a Grand National, park it, and then basically let it rot for 30+ years. Someone actually interested in buying the car as an investment would have taken better care of it.
I’m always astonished by how much money some YouTubers are able to make. I skip every ad that I can, and hardly any of them are things I’m in the market for anyway. So why do companies throw so much money at YouTube.
Probably the best example from recent memory.
Damn. That’s sexy.
Yes, but he’s also probably not being asked to come up with something simplified and classic. Remember, this is all for clicks and Youtube views. He did something to get people’s attention, to get them riled up and talking about it. And it seems to have worked.
To be fair, he’s being asked to redesign an iconic car. It’s just a creative exercise. I don’t think any designer when asked to do the same thing would come up with anything any of us would like. The same goes for a lot of classic cars.
Came to say this same thing. I would kill for this.
There’s a practice mode, too, in which you can spawn various enemies and try different loadouts.
Well, the guy driving the car says it was a 10,000 rpm launch, and I’ll take his info over yours any day.
I’d love another Viva Pinata, too, but I’m going to have to kind of disagree with you about the sequel. Yeah, it got kinda too big and sprawling, but it also had some much-needed quality of life improvements.
