Love this typo

I remember seeing this in theaters and telling people it was very similar in feel to The Princes Bride.  Both are great fun movies in my opinion. Shame this one flopped so hard

I love this film.

An utter lack of empathy and an unhealthy amount of narcissism. Imagine if a world leader ever attained office with those characteristics. (shudder)

Yes but she didn’t mock it, and seemed to really have fun.

The cut after Villanelle starts to sing along was perfectly timed.

common misconception about psychopaths/sociopaths is that they feel no emotion. in fact many psychopaths can feel intense emotions, but they only relate these emotions back to themselves. villanelle can feel sadness, longing, etc. what she cannot do is project that emotion onto other individuals, she can’t sympathize

I really WANT to love this show, but I’m having a hard time. It’s filled with a lot of what I’d describe as “sitcom hijinks” (albeit of a much darker nature) that normally make me want to leave the room. I’ve been able to get through some of it because of how great Merritt Wever is so far, but I can only take so much.

Not just that scene, but the ambiguity looming over the question of Oksana  Pilotr’s father.  Gone & seemingly forgotten by everyone but Villanelle.

...because if Villanelle actually wanted to kill Nico, she would have:

After reading the article, I had to go back to check that I had correctly seen a B- rating. Because the article itself seems to describe a D+ show, at best.

I’ve made the effort going on 4 episodes now and I’m done. When Fiona jumped off the train, I yelled “Wait for me!!”

That garden scene while Tip Toe through the Tullips playing was iconic.

I really appreciated the show undercutting its traditional “draw out the Eve-Villanelle meeting and play it up as a huge, sexy moment” play. Eve’s on a bus, then Villanelle is there. Genuinely caught me by surprise.

So Villanelle definitely did not kill Kenny, as she was not in the country at the time. And it seems that since he was uninjured before he hit the ground he was lured up to the roof by someone he thought was friendly (Konstantin? His sister?)

“Why don’t you go and do your thing where you close your eyes and breathe?”

I love Fleabag so I don’t share your general annoyance with PWB’s work, but I did loathe these two characters and I felt like this pilot was trying a little too hard.

I never really liked Nico. He was never going to accept the changes that Eve was going through and didn’t have the balls to just end it. And the woman he was shacking up with was the boring lapdog he wanted Eve to be. Ending up in a storage locker with his dead vanilla girlfriend was more than fitting. Villanelle knew

Now playing

Ok, I’m going to be a pedant here, but that Gymnastics scene at the beginning was all wrong for the time period. They went to the trouble of giving her a ‘70's style leotard, but had the uneven parallel bars set up in the modern (post mid1980's) style, and had her doing a modern routine. An era-acurate routine would

It is weird that I am always on Eve’s side in her scenes with Nico, even though she is never really in the right. But them being together just seems pointless from her perspective so I can’t really fault her
