“she acts like a woman who’s lifelong act is about to be discovered”
Yes, I love how this episode played with memories. How each character remembers or wants to remember things differently. Villanelle, her brother, Tatiana. It’s this ambiguity that makes this episode so strong imo.

I liked this more than I expected (it might be me fave of the seaso so far) and the last 10 minutes were just off the charts amazing. A lot of it comes down to the fact that two amazing actors were sharing the scene: Comer and Evgenia Dodina. Holy hell, that was some acting, lol.

That’s my fave thing with grades on AV Club, review reads like C, grade: B+.

Lots of improvisation from legendary Dasha!
But I don’t know, I mean, Eve is not a spy or special agent, she never was.
I think her paralyzing shock was understandable.

This is too much. Stop this madness right now!

Post-credit scenes needs to die! This trend is stupid.

My first impression was that no, she is not. But Konstantin was leaving Carolyn’s house and when C. asked her about any visitors. Geraldine lied. So Carolyn doesn’t trust her and there is no way she will let her in emotionally.

- “Get her working...without this extracurricular crap.” - excuse me!? So this what VillaneEve is to you, hot lady from The 12?

imo that’s exactly what will happen. In an episode about choices Dasha made a really bad one. She miscalculated.

It’s a sign of show’s confidence when a scene that for many would be crucial and final scene of the episode is somewhere in the middle. And when you think the show is done with you, they are putting another heart-stopping scene with Villanelle and Carolyn.

It did stop. Right in that moment when Eve is getting up from the floor. But because it’s a double-decker bus, it takes a moment for Villanelle to leave it.

That was double-decker bus, the driver didn’t see them.

Underrated, but also awesome and hilarious was the opening scene of Villanelle and the maid/nanny, when Villanelle was scaring her by pointing that thing at the maid, then at the baby, maid, baby, maid, baby...

Grade “A”, lol

ok one last thing, that Villanelle/Felix convo had very simple but effective humour. However it mostly work because Felix actor was actually really lovely and because Jodie Comer can surprise you with out-of-the-blue delivery of basic line, like the one when he says he has five older brothers, and Villanelle’s mocking

Carolyn: “Couldn’t we be sad and listen to good music?”

This is actually a very good point!
Also, Villanelle checking out the water pressure in the bathroom made me laughed so hard, because yes, it is important! Thank you.

I honestly have no beef with this episode. Much better than the premiere. Nice flow and it seems like The Twelve storyline is finally going somewhere.

I only wanna know what connection he found in those Fat Panda and Frank files, because it had to be pretty big.
I cannot believe the new showrunner decided to come back to s.1 plot. I’m sure there will be a lot plot holes, lol, but I’m just happy she is trying to clean up the mess. We might even find out why Carolyn

Didn’t really enjoy it like I thought I would. Everything seemed a bit forced: comedy, dialogue, chemistry, attempts to be - in terms of style - everything at once.

I just realized that we alrady heard about Paul in s.2. Carolyn and other MI6 boss were talking about him in ep 4 I think. He was already pissed about Carolyn, plus his boyfriend left him. So he was having a rough time in general.
