So, theft.
So, theft.
And going by the comments here, people actually think that’s reasonable.
Not defending their spending practices on advertising (which was obscene) but that’s not an insane welcome package. The priciest thing there is the MacBook, and that’s written off as a work expense. I’m a programmer for a much, much smaller company (like, a tiny fraction of what FanDuel was generating) and even I got…
No, thanks.
Not even close to the only two companies. There are dozens - the others are just smart enough to let FanDuel and DraftKings take the heat. Those two spent all the money, get in all the legal trouble, and all the others have operated well under the radar.
Have you not been watching sports on TV the past couple of years? The amount they’ve each spent on advertising has been obscene.
I’ve stopped watching full games and have gone to watching RedZone exclusively. All the good stuff. Makes it seem like the season is going really well!
And pointing out that she is a cold and calculating career politician is exactly why I’m voting for her. I don’t need my President to be likeable, for fuck’s sake; I need them to be qualified.
Because it’s fucking peanut butter?
See if you can pull the page down - the notification bubble for me is actually above the navigation bar.
Ha! New England native here :) Haven’t lived up there since the early 90's, but was born and raised though my teens up there!
I think that depends on what you like. I know people who insist that steak grilled over charcoal is the only way worth doing it - they want those blackened bits; the char is very important to them. Me? I hate crunchy meat. I’ll sous vide a steak at 141 for an hour and that’s perfection - I don’t even do a quick sear…
Uh, yeah, but there’s no real advantage.
He didn’t say he wouldn’t accept the results, but you know? This is one of those questions where the only acceptable fucking answer is YES. You don’t play it cute, you don’t say “I’ll keep you in suspense”, you say YES. Of course I’ll accept the results. Of course our democracy means more than my campaign.
Typical response: “Well, what are the cops supposed to do? Try to take on the assailant? They could be injured, or a lucky hit to the head might cause serious damage or even kill the officer.”
Second of all, more likely is that they were trainined not to pursue shoplifters and let the management take care of it. That is what we were taught when I worked retail. Don’t be a hero, notify your manager and let them handle it. I remember when they announced also that if an Amber alert we were to head to the exit…
Not forbidding adverse inferences is not the same thing as defining an admission of guilt. For someone who appears to be a lawyer, I’d have thought you’d understand that.
I see. So in a court of law, when a defendant invokes his rights under the Fifth Amendment, the jury is instructed to take that as an admission of guilt? Because the defendant did not dispute the charges brought against him and therefore they must be true?
That’s not how this works. You don’t get to say “if they didn’t deny it, it must be true”. There is no legal or journalistic standard that makes that okay.
You fell into the trap. You believe the Manning documents, so you assume that all the stuff related to Clinton is true.
