>Where oh where in this article does it mention ANYONE trying to escape?
Nope, from what I have seen now I was wrong. Entirely.
I would have agreed, but then someone did, it was creepy.
Do trolls usually admit fault and backtrack?
No, THE impediment to police reform is police unions. That’s the big one.
Arguing that jaywalking should not be a crime is a separate issue from this one.
No, even _if_ the man walked away as claimed the use of force could still be wrong. But _if_ the man walked away from a detention then he is partly to blame. I don’t require my victims be snow white, I do expect you to acknowledge their warts if you want others to acknowledge police faults.
I cannot edit it seems, but after watching the video I retract this statement until I can do further research.
So I just watched the video and you are correct that it does not show him walking away as police claimed occurred. I retract my statements, and will withhold judgment til I can spend some time researching.
If you checked my history I declared the police in the United case used excessive force.
Walking away from an officer trying to detain and ticket is acceptable to you?
This kind of bs hurts the goal of police reform.
Cops target everyone, then fly into the maximum amount of force allowed asap. It’s wrong, but it is.
I agree that the police had to remove him after the complaint, they get a choice of how, they chose excessive force.
I still don’t blame United for the incident. I do blame them for bad statements.
>How about factual, consensually acknowledged reality?
