Great job, Cindy. Oftentimes, a break-down like this just comes across as completely over-wrought but this was just so well-written. Your article gave me all “the feels” about the movie and Ms. Lautier. Thanks!

Leonard Cohen was a unique presence in music and one that, despite legions of fans (myself included) was inaccessible to many. That said, his song “Hallelujah” is amazing. John Cale’s version is good but the pain of the lyrics is lost in his smooth, melodic singing. Jeff Buckley’s is at least on par with Cohen’s

I’d ban you from further commenting here if I could. Your take on that is as atrocious as Disturbed’s cover, rightly on AVClub’s “25 Worst Covers” list.

Disagree on Lenny Kravitz’s cover of “American Woman.” It rocks. It’s not the original, but it’s a worthy cover. One of the “Top 25 Worst”? Hardly. I mean, you didn’t even include Guns ‘n Roses “Live and Let Die” cover. That thing is atrocious.

“Great news, everybody!”

Yay! I used to go see this annually around 1979-82 at a small theater on the Cal. State University Northridge campus. I even had one of the shirts. The quality of every film was amazing, as were all of the different animation styles (mind you—all of this was pre-computer animation). Some were funny, some were

I’m tempted (and I do like DiGiorno frozen pizzas) but I think I’ll pass. However, the $11.23 price including shipping is an absolute bargain, certainly for the sake of building marketing hype. Maybe it’ll gain enough traction to be a larger, though still limited, release in 2024.

$100,000? LOL! Did you read the article? Uzi Nissan spent $3M fighting over control of the nissan.com domain name! Now, I didn’t research if the court(s) awarded him attorney’s fees, but regardless, that domain name is worth considerably more than $100,000. But at this point, it’s worth $0 until ownership can be

Admittedly, my taste in cars harkens back to early/mid-’70s Hot Wheels Sizzlers (the were basically rechargeable Hot Wheels cars, way ahead of their time; they only ran for a couple minutes per charge but they were fast!). So...I pretty much dig that G35 Vaydor. Fight me on this!

Yeah, the low-rider Buick Riviera isn’t to my particular low-rider taste but the the super complicated paint is pretty wild. Here’s a non-low-rider from SEMA 2010 that has Aztec-themed paintwork that I just love (my photos):

Better a late reply than never? :-)

Sounds like John and Paul on vocals but not a Beatles song. It’s got neither the raw early rock and roll energy nor the later more experimental angst. Sounds more Wings or modern pop music to my ear. Also: kind of a dirge. Listened to it once, don’t need it in my collection.

Dickhead, much?

The tallest US president was Abraham Lincoln at 6'4".

Name checks out...as she draws her bow at yet another questioner!

Maybe you could donate some of your tib/fib to a short man who wants his legs lengthened?

Really? Really? You think? <SMDHH>* In the meantime, they took the most expensive vehicle and made it look like shit.

No shit, Sherlock. I never would have figured that out from the “SkinzWraps.com” prominently shown on the hood, so thanks for that.

2010: A Bugatti is ruined. A Bugatti! They did this to a Bugatti! (I was there, this is my photo. My camera balked when I pressed the shutter button...):

Diesel Bro-Dozers. It’s always the trucks. The owners spend at least 10 minutes warming them up (just fucking drive, already!), they’re noisy, they guzzle gas, are hard to see around, and at least a 1/3 of them aren’t used in any sort of work or towing capacity...so, why??? (Central Oregon)
