Way back in 1989, Honda made the GB500 (a motorcycle). It looked black but when it was in bright light, you could see that it was actually a deep, deep, deeeeep green with some metal flake. Truly a gorgeous color. This Infiniti color seems like a very cool variant of that Honda paint.

Okay...but there were TWO safety warning immediately before the plane arrived at the gate. TWO. And the worker either didn’t pay attention (really? TWICE?) or ignored the safety warnings. So, yeah, this “[fell] on the shoulders of the squishy organic [being].”

You must be new to “reading” and “do some research, you lazy ass.”

I grew up in the mid-’60's to early ‘80s. I always thought of the Trans Am as a wannabe Chevy Camaro that was trying too hard and constantly failing. Nobody says “bitchin’ Trans Am.” Everybody says “bitchin’ Camaro, dude!” (Even if the “dude” is a woman.)

Is that a quote from somewhere and where? Or your own satire? Please let us know. It’s astounding if it’s the former, and too true if the latter.

Re: the Ducati 749 (looks like the “S Monoposto model):

What The Fuck Is Your Problem?

I wouldn’t exactly call it an “email harvesting scheme.” EVERY website (whether or not they sell or manufacture anything) wants to put you on their email blast list. Some are a little clever, offering a discount on your first order, and then you can give your email address or hit the button that says something like

Maybe at Subway.

You obviously are incapable of reading. There’s no threat of violence there, only that YOU are likely to be violent. And you’re an asshole (I’m paraphrasing) and that really does seem accurate.

I had the tremendous good fortune to see David Crosby play live...twice. Once with Stephen Stills and Graham Nash at the “Us Now Festival” (I think summer 1982 at the Los Angeles Coliseum) and at the Philadelphia Spectrum Arena (the one with the “Rocky” statue) in 1993 performing solo at a radio station’s big

That is only addressing, inadequately from experience, the in-home health hazards but not the environmental issues. And the “inadequately”: mine is glass-fronted (not open) and I can still smell a slight odor, so the venting is by no means perfect. The fireplace is not a perfectly sealed unit as it needs to draw in

Fortunately I live in an area where politeness and friendliness is a strong value (the whole region—a couple counties—only has 200K people). During my 13 month stint as a Starbucks barista, with plenty of time taking and handing out drive-through orders, “bad” customers were few and far between. I pretty much relied

Yeah, no: at any well-run restaurant, using your phone is a no-no as it is a violation of health and safety regulations, plus NOBODY has time for that if it’s busy.

It does, but the rebate limits are the same. So you would probably have to pay for some of it out-of-pocket. Plus you’ll probably need a new set of cookware.

That is actually the direction of movement on this issue. Nobody is coming to tear out your gas stoves but forbidding them in new home construction helps to ameliorate the issue in the future. As somebody else mentioned, tightening up (or creating) emissions standards on new gas stoves is the next step towards

As they probably should be banned from future construction. But nobody is saying that the government should come for your fossil-fueled appliances, that’s ridiculous.

Uh, have you heard of a thing called “scientific research”? It can change over time or sometimes just hasn’t been conducted yet. Also, the current studies at issue dealt with the issue of causes of childhood asthma and pinpointed gas stoves as a cause in something like 12.5% of cases (or maybe it was little higher).

True. But if one heats the electric burner too high or needs to lower it (say from boil to simmer), one can also momentarily remove the pot/pan from heat altogether while the burner temperature is lowered. Personally, that lag is not “severe.” The bigger lag is when going from burner turned on and hot to burner turned

That’s not the real issue. First, is that induction stoves are newer technology so they cost more (right now). Second, is that you must have ferrous-based flat-bottomed cookware which I would guess the overwhelming majority of people do not have. Most people have aluminum alloy cookware because of the lower cost
