I mean, Luke not recognizing her doesn’t subvert the idea that she is a Skywalker in any way. It’s not like they have a Sky-Dar about each other. Luke didn’t know Vader was his father. Vader didn’t know Leia was his daughter. Why would Luke recognize Rey, even if she were his daughter?

This would, without a doubt, be the most hilarious thing he could possibly say. I pray there’s an outtake on the DVD release where he says this.
