If you care about your old data, then YNAB is probably not for you. Much different philosophy. YNAB pushes that where you were doesn’t matter. What matters is where you are now, and where you are trying to get to. In fact they have a “clean the slate” function in the app, to start budgeting over again in the future.

This makes sense if you haven't already ponied up $60 for the old YNAB. I know that I can get a "lifetime discount" if I "act now!!!", but that doesn't really convince me.

Same here. YNAB has been a big help for me, and the one-time $60 price seemed just right for that help. But a year after I started using it, I don’t see how I can justify paying $50 a year for this product going forward. I don’t really know what I’d be paying for. I’m probably better off just figuring out how to

Do you work for them? You have to be joking 4 new features 20 removed! It is a rushed release for the subsciption gravy train

I am a huge fan of YNAB - I probably mention them everytime there’s an article on budgeting on Lifehacker. That said, I just can’t get behind the subscription model. That was really a disappointment. These days it seems like everything is going subscription-based.
