The Granada isn’t terrible”....

Since the luggage cover (not really a “hood”...) opens sideways on this car, I’d guess that fit is probably common.....

Well, the sad reality is that a lot of those old Japanese cars were quite lightweight, and have rusted to smithereens. As bad as BMW 2002's were with rust, a comparable Datsun 510 was 10x worse, which is why there hasn’t been one seen on the roads here in the northeast in about 25 years!

I’ve never actually seen one of these in person. I understand the large majority of them were sold in Australia (which is most likely where this ad was from). Four cylinders with 4 little motorcycle carbs-wow! I used to own a 1978 Civic 1200, and that motor revved to 7500 rpm, too.

I went through the same problem with my dad when he was about 85. After getting lost on his way home from his doctor (he’d moved to a new office, but it was just down the street from the old one), he at least had the presence of mind to call me on his cell phone; the one which I’d constantly harped on him to always

For the love of god, just get rid of this pile of junk, and stop wasting yout time as well as ours. This bike was never designed for off-road riding; it’s at best half a step better than a K-mart bike of the period. You will never make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear, so give up, spend some $$, and buy something

Just what IS the plural of “Genisis”? Genisii? Genisices?

I’m not certain if your US-spec radio will work on continental FM signals. US FM center frequencies all end in an odd single decimal (.1MHz, .3, etc.) while European frequencies usually are in even single decimals (.0MHZ, .2, etc.), sometimes even in odd dual decimals (.05MHZ, .15, etc.).

Shut up, troll.

OK, I have questions:

As a cyclist, I’m glad that E-bikes at least get people out doing at least a small amount of exercise. But don’t kid yourself; unless you have the thing set on the lowest level, you’re letting the electric motor do most of the work. And, considering the cost, you’re better off just getting a smaller electric

I just use AdBlock, and I see no ads at all.

In the cycling world, this is jokingly referred to as “drillium”. It used to be a popular but short-sighted way to reduce the weigh of cranks and rings. I once saw a post of somebody’s thin-walled aluminum Cannondale frame drilled like this, and I had to ask the poster if he could play a tune on it when at speed!

As a fan of Chinese dashcam youtube videos, I always enjoy seeing an appearance by one of Changli’s 3-wheel scooters. They are usually seen being piloted by an elderly male, slowly cutting across several lanes of fast-moving urban traffic, usually ending up on their side. I guess Chinese people don’t figure it’s worth

So, he’s not just an imbecile, but a fraud as well?????? Mon dieu!

The problem with going online to find out how to do a repair is that there are literally thousands of hacks out there all willing to tell you the wrong/stupid/dangerous way of doing something. A couple of examples:

Well, considering that French cars of that period used sheetmetal that rusted-through in about 3 years or less, it was probably meant to keep the visible rot limited.

Years ago, I managed to install a nice Shimano 600 tri-color headset into a super-light Trek road frame with full 531 butted steel tubing with just that same method. Worked fine, still have the bike, and the headset still works fine....

“An undertaking”? This thing is a cheap pile of junk. Just use a block of wood and a small mallet to install it. It’s not worth your time to get fancy working on garbage.

Why are you making this harder than it has to be? Remove the old headset, MEASURE the thing, then just go to some place like worldwidecyclery.com, and order a cheap on that fits. Or just go to any bike shop. Done.
