You know, on posts like these my first reaction is to post something about advertising your own stupidity, but in this case he didn’t have much of a choice....

I used to have a 1999 Mazda 626 which had been a rental car. Yeah, it was clean when we bought it, but I swear they cheaped-out on cars ordered in bulk from rental agencies. I used to ride often in a friend’s non-rental 626, and I’m reasonably certain that ours had less sound-deadening. Then there were the sway bar

Yes, Ertl’s facial hair looked regal; like Czar Nicholas II or King George V.

Nikki should’ve grown a walrus ‘stache to hide those buck-teeth....

Yes, Keke; the bad boy of F1. Not only did he have the ‘porn star ‘stache’, but he smoked as well! You always could count on Keke doing something daring (often ending in failure, though).

Well, the ‘stache isn’t too bad, but that hat’s gotta go!

Mansell bravely kept the ‘stache going at a time when it was out of fashion..

Ah, yes.....Snidely Whiplash!

You want to see bad track day drivers? Go to any Porsche club track event. I once worked on of these events at Watkins Glen. Never saw so many terrible drivers on one track at the same time; tailgating, bad corner apexes, coming into corners too fast/too slow, spinning out, cutting other drivers off, etc. In one 10 lap

I used to drive over-the-road, and saw a few ‘vehicular non-sequiters’ through the years. here are the top ones:

Only when loaded. An entire rig weighs somewhere around 30,000, but that includes the tractor unit.

Maybe as low as 6 tons, but, yeah, that’s what they weight

1) Your rig has a legal gooseneck/5th wheel hookup.

OK, former trucker and mechanical engineer here. I just wanted to address this kluge-job, and answer a few of your questions:

Sounds like the market move Abercrombie & Fitch did about 25 years ago; took a business noted for rugged outdoor clothing and turned it in to an overpriced faddish business. Which is why A&F has disappeared from most places. Pimping a brand like that always ends in the brand fading into oblivion. Harley Davidson is

Not sure about that, but I do know a guy who electrified his recumbant trike, and put a big battery on a trailer. He can go more than 50 miles on a charge.

I dunno....I once owned a 1960's Ford F100, and “fun” was never a word that I would’ve used to describe it. “Boring” was probably a better term, until the time you experience jacking from the front swing-axle suspension during hard cornering, when the words “mildly terrifying” would be more appropriate

Same with Yelp. A few years ago, a popular bar/restaurant had a lot of glowing reviews, and almost every one of them commented on the “atmosphere” of the place.

Man, just look at the size of that rear fender panel! Of course, on cars like these what you end up with after about 5 years is a jagged line of perforated rust, and a side marker light dangling from it’s wires.....

As far as Automobile is concerned, I remember when it first came out. I read it a few times, but came to the conclusion that it was kinda like R&T and C&D, just not as good. Maybe better than Motor Trend, but not by much....
