I know that feeling. As fun as it is to make 6 figures before 30, when 45-55% of your after tax income is rent, you basically have to decide whether you have a decent apartment or a decent car to live in.

The sad truth about living in a country that has no real serious commitment to mass transit is that if you don’t live in New York City, Boston, Washington, D.C., or an exceptionally small part of San Francisco the Bay Area, you need a car to live and work.

Except this was a vehicle designed for young people by young people. They aren’t necessarily going to make something attractive to you if you don’t fall into that category, but for the target market, this would be an awesome first vehicle. Hell, I’m in my 30s and would totally love this.

But I live in an old apartment building. I don’t have room nor the infrastructure to charge at home.

That extra 0.001% safer it makes your car, or somebody outside your car is worth however many thousands it costs

Oh no what a shame that they don’t sell cars in the US /s

How about big enough for tall people to drive it? The current 86 has decent legroom but only like 1.5" of steering wheel telescoping, so at 6'5" I’d need to either lean way forward or steer next to my knees

Those are all your germs on there. It’s an extension of your skin. You’ve got more bacteria cells and viruses in and on your body than you cells in your body. You’re already immune to everything that’s on it.

Not only that, it’s now bloated to the same size as an Audi A4. I cannot understand how this still counts as a compact when it’s only 1 inch shorter lengthwise and an inch taller in height than a midsize luxury sedan.
