$195,000. The cost of a modest home in a modest city.
“Anti-Semitic hate crimes make up about half of all of the hate crimes that we see in New York City.”
Hey, I’d like to get paid more too, but that seems like dealing with symptoms and not the disease. Remember that the cost of a new car is far outside a lot of peoples’ affordability, given both the high transaction cost and the crazy long financing terms people are taking these days, so overall used cars are the only…
That’s what I was getting at, not necessarily a literal Starbucks or what not, but society and amenities of a well-traveled town and perhaps easy access to a nearby big city or airport.
Likewise, I have giant hands and absolutely hate that I can’t get a good phone smaller than 5.2" anymore. Apparently I’m in the minority that only uses my phones one-handed, so I really like to be able to hold and manipulate the phone easily. With all the big phones, I definitely feel like I’m at risk of dropping them…
That’s probably very true, but those places are all out in bumfuck middle of nowhere.
30 is definitely too old for a hot hatch. You’re not a boy racer anymore; go to work.
Why aren’t people buying Mazdas?
I’m sure there are lots of horror stories from well worn, high mileage vehicles driven by people who at least recognize that something is wrong.
I think my favorite thing about the right supporting Trump’s ability to overwrite a constitutional amendment with an executive order is that they don’t think about precedent; if Trump can revoke the 14th Amendment because he feels like it, then the next GARSH DURN LIBEREAL president can revoke the 2nd.
I’ve never been to Toronto, so I can’t compare the views, but I can assure you most of the traffic near SF is not in any of the picturesque locations.
How is it that they can keep the wonderful, high-end looking rectangular edges on the tablets but refuse to reuse them on the phones? The iPhone 4/5 were the most premium, well-engineered looking devices, but now they just look like cheap toys
Real talk: why don’t cars have forward-canted shelves anymore? So many brand new cars come with almost no usable storage space anymore. There’s nowhere other than cupholders to just dump stuff, and I’d rather use my cupholders for... you know... cups.
That’s nice of you. May I suggest ending future posts with “/s” to make the oblivious of us get it more easily?
I wasn’t trying to make it a SF vs. Toronto thing, just empathizing with my own experiences
Had a friend whose manual, late 80s Toyota Corolla always had a dead battery or a flat tire because he didn’t want to spend money to fix it. In hindsight, that car was probably so poorly maintained even regular driving was probably risky.
I was also confused by this. I was there last March, coming in from Europe and don’t recall anything at all about customs. It was extremely quick.
I’d also point out how the stupidest sport bows to America’s boringest one
No it can’t. It serves a small section of the peninsula, doesn’t touch the East Bay, and goes nowhere near Sacramento. On top of that, it isn’t running on the weekends for the next 6 months
