Oooh. That would be interesting.

I’d love to see a Lord of Light movie with the designs Jack Kirby did for the abandoned 1970s adaptation, which ended up being used by the CIA as part of their cover op to get the embassy workers out of Iran (as seen in Argo, though I was pissed neither Zelazny nor Kirby got mentioned).
Roger Zelazny is one of my favorite authors.
There is no argument that AI generated images will have a profound impact on the commercial art community. However, this lawsuit is stupidly shortsighted and fails to recognize the lessons of history.
Nice art. The preview hooks.
I will be in an ergonomic, full-body massage pilot chair using my joystick to point out Anti-vaxxers, global warming deniers, and other anti-science types.
That it is a boondoggle is almost beyond question. I leave open the potential this new thing will result in some new positive as well as the somewhat obvious probable downsides.
If this inspires anyone to watch (or rewatch) Metropolis, they might enjoy the 1984 Georgio Moroder version with its pop/rock soundtrack.
List seems pathologically incomplete.
Criminally absent:
James Gunn vs the Snyderverse
...only without all the twitter trickle.
Them! stood above the many knock-offs that came after. Sure, it was still a low-budget B-film, but it did a lot with few dollars without being cheesy. Better and less limited effects would be an improvement, but I think there are directions the story could go that suit modern sensibilities.
ZOMG, JG. Stop swinging at every shadow.
The Hogfather does it for me every year!
A hard reset for the DC Universe is a wise choice in general.
This feels like hearing about the breakup of a couple as he-said/she-said.
Indeed. The first film was great as long as you grade it on the DCEU curve. I totally agree that it fell apart like the Bluesmobile somewhere around the 2/3-3/4 mark, but up to that point it was (IMO) genuinely good.
just wished they weren't terrible movies. The first WW was good for 5/8ths, and became a garbage movie. The second film… was not for me, or people who like comedy, or quality, and also not good.
This does remind me BA has no receipts from China or Russia.
I think it’s an oversimplification to say the shorter theatrical window suppressed the cume. Theaters take 10-50% of ticket sales, leaning toward the latter % recently. Studios are still triangulating the moving target of what the right window is, and for which products post-Covid isolation.
