I regret that I can only give you one star. Well said!!

Series finale’s are an interesting topic for those like me who like to do deep dives into storytelling. There’s a lot of IMHO here, so just add it to every sentence.
Beat me to it.
Or, you know, visit your public library. You’ll likely be able to borrow online without even stepping foot in the building.
‘Your Approved!’
Agreed.
Since people will never stop bending over backwards to blame “saturation” for the failure of Solo (Kevin Feige giggles everytime someone tries to float that bullshit) and I will never stop presenting this scene because it so crystalizes all the wrong-headed decisions that happen in the film. There are dozens, from…
Nor does it give you the right to condescend to someone you’ve never met and have no way of judging. You talked down to me, I defended myself. ‘I hate to tell you this, but {anything}’ would have been total man-splaining if it came from an XY. If defending my viewpoint diminishes yours, then look to your own…
And I hate to tell you this, but I’ve been marching for women’s rights and protecting clinics for decades probably longer than you’ve been alive. So save your condescension or open a can of indignation. It will have the same effect on me.
As a kid, I saw lots of inappropriate previews and even wrong movies. It didn’t affect me at all and I’ll drown anyone who says otherwise.
Another point that seems to be forgotten regarding Natasha’s sacrifice is that she wasn’t only doing it to spare Clint’s life. It was to bring back his family who had essentially become HER family. Hawkeye’s wife and kids don’t treat her as just “dad’s coworker”. She’s much more than that to them, and therefore they…
Star for your thought out response.
In the moment, I thought she was dying to spare her friend and ESPECIALLY his family. The idea that she wanted “her boys” aka the Avengers back together is much more repellent, but given her sadness over not having a family, the idea that she’d sacrifice herself so Hawkeye’s kids would keep their father? Especially…
I’m on the fence with this, until the Hawkeye series comes out.
I’ll engage in your comment in good faith because you lay out some good points, but first I want to get out of the way that
Your two characters are slightly less small-number statistics than OP isolating Black Widow alone. And she was not thrown off the cliff, she jumped and Hawkeye tried everything to take her place.
Do I wish Black Widow died, no. But that’s the whole point.
Black Widow’s story arc is tragic, but not demeaning to her character. And, I believe it had a meaningful conclusion in End Game (though I would still be happy if her solo outing is a sequel, not a prequel).
Hmmm. I don’t think ‘Jeff’ said ‘Screw the Earth. The ashtrays are full. Let’s just move.’ Preserving Earth is certainly part of any plan of the most techno-optomistic.
Gandalf the Gray lived in an ancient period, died and pulled a Doctor Who regeneration. Just saying, Dumbledore lived much later and I’ve never seen them together in the same room.
