Some stations in Canada have had the chip readers for a lot longer. It depends on the chain, but most upgrade ages ago.

Whenever I see an article about Avatar, I expect it to be about how they permanently shelved the project. 

It was definitely all sizzle and no steak. The design was great, but I just couldn't find it in me to care about any of the characters.

I actually had an idea of mandatory service but, instead, it is a civil service. You would spend 1-2 years doing work to help people in your country and what you would do would range from building new community housing to volunteering in schools and build trails in national parks. Everyone would get a chance to learn…

I’ve only had someone ask me to swap once. They had a center section middle seat. I had a window seat towards the front of the economy section. 

With that kind of downgrade, that guy can truly go fuck himself.

How about the first design their restaurants to be quieter? It drives me nuts when I am having to read someone’s lips because I can hear a damned thing over the music and yekled conversations. 

My gf’s favorite restaurant is really amazing but their music is unbelievably loud so we rarely go. We can't hear each other at all when we are there.
