You sound very similar to me; I have a high end PC hooked up in the living room to the big TV/sound system, and another one used at the desktop. Both have had Windows 10 for a while, both with zero issues whatsoever.

I just don’t think there’s enough DX12 games to justify the jump right now.

You think Microsoft is faking Steam’s user numbers? That is getting into highly improbably conspiracy theory territory there...

I really don’t get where people pull all these issues they supposedly have with 10 out of. I have 10 running on both of my gaming machines, my high end home system and my mid ranged work bunk system and both run everything smooth without a single issue.

Its always nice to hear from the novices wgo think they kbow what they are talking about. You guys show up like clockwork every cycle. Just like console war fanboys. Thier is no end to the circle. Its just you versus prople who actually know things.

Windows doesnt upgrade you by itself. Only an idiot who never updated thier Windows Update settings in control panel has this issue. Its basic computers 101 stuff for the user level.

It would be a hard thing to inflate since the Steam statistics are for active users. Not impossible, but seems like more trouble than it would be worth if they were found out cheating the stats. Steam statistics are certainly a reliable snapshot of user configurations.

Thank you, God. It’s all just so ridiculous. I upgraded to 10 a while ago, zero issues whatsoever.

Same here. Two desktops and two laptops. Zero issues everything works including my video editing software which was finicky on 7.

I must be an outlier. I recently upgraded to Win 10 and I haven’t had an issues with old software, everything works for me so far. I installed it on a new cpu/mobo/ram combo replacing my 4 year old rig so the increased computing power is more than compensating for any performance loss.

Most surprising to me is that I

Wrong. Everything works on Windows 7, nothing works on Windows 10.

Steam statistics from May 2016 show the highest percentage of Windows users are using Windows 10.

“nothing works on Windows 10.”

There were inherent limitations to XP like at first only reading 2 gbs then 4gbs of ram. Lack of native support for hdds over a certain size. Change comes, and things slowly but surely improve. I’ve upgrade to W10 and havn’t looked back, and already have found benifits that have made my life easier

Developpers want better tools to make their game that let them do bigger project. That’s why DirectX is always being updated, and new version only being able to run on newer version of windows have always been the case, if you really want to game on pc you already have windows 10, otherwise you can kiss all those

it kinda sucks that there actually facts, right? I mean, it makes it so much harder to make up bullshit anecdotal claims.

You do realize that game developers tend to make their games with the latest OS iterations in mind, right? I’d be okay with using win10 if microsoft were more pc gaming friendly.

And you would be wrong on that. Not only is Windows 10 the most popular OS used by Steam gamers, Windows 10 64bit alone has more users than Windows 7 64 bit and 32 bit users combined. And to your claim that gamers are leaving Windows 10 for Windows 7, the survey shows Windows 10 is growing and Windows 7 is declining.

You are a fucking moron if you are running latest gen Intel or Nvidia and you are not running Windows 10, period. The Windows 7 driver subsystem is not made to support the extended features of USB 3.1, Thunderbolt or M.2 or any of the latest hardware advancements. Stop giving out bad advice acting like you know what

incorrect, but I guess you can keep believing that if it makes you feel justified in not upgrading.
