Yes. Exactly. It’s not that the Xbox controller layout is the most ergonomic possible, it’s just more ergonomic than the Playstation layout.

The best games [where you play as a character] are the ones that make you feel like you’re the character, rather than a video game player watching the character.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers could enjoy Disney Dreamlight Valley for free, however.
- The joy of video games (or anything else, for that matter) isn’t in “knowing how it ends”, it’s the experience of the journey.
H5 Husky Raid made me realize how amazing H5 was, and now it’s my favorite Halo game. I still jump into it by default when I’m on my Xbox. Too bad it’s not on PC (in a way that has access to official matchmaking).
This was the case with MCC & H5, too, wasn’t it? Delayed completion of the game/eventually making it good? I didn’t play either game when they first launched, but both are really amazing now (too bad most of the playerbase has moved on to Infinite - I really do think H5 has now become my favorite Halo experience).
*sad
What I envision is, someday, perfect, global internet infrastructure, and the option to play games with near-zero/sub-single frame latency across the network, streaming from a centralized server - with backup servers, and back up infrastructure. And with that, a platform for games that no longer rely on consoles, or…
Well, then you lack self-awareness, and/or self-control. Get on that.
It’s not even that they “like” it - it’s that, if they want to keep writing about video games and related culture, the have to feed these fires to keep their train going.
ActivisionBlizzard stopped making good games a long time ago - the acquisition isn’t a threat to anything worthwhile.
Tifa’s gonna die, ya’ll.
While that’s not a guarantee that everything will carry over between the Switch and Switch 2, or whatever Nintendo’s next gaming machine is, it’s at least an attempt to potentially assuage some fans’ concerns about the move.
“Put points into base damage & crit chance” is always my go to strategy for everything. The sooner I can end a fight, the better. The exception being games where armor is a big focus, in which case, I love having a massive defense and/or a big shield.
Nobody is forcing anybody else to read the comments, though. Being quick to censor, simply because there may be takes that you don’t care for, is silly and pointless.
This article fails to communicate what the myth in question actually is. What are we even talking about?
Fingers crossed that Switch 2 is a stand-alone, set-top box... that uses existing Switch devices as controllers/input, allowing for complete backwards compatibility, potential DS/3DS/Wii U game support, “steaming device” functionality like we’re seeing quite a bit of in the industry, etc.
Ultimately, developers have to be good about making “the journey” enjoyable and worthwhile. The less copy-and-paste the world is, the more beautiful and intelligently designed its objects, textures, and spaces, the easier it is to play w/o fast travel, no-HUD, etc.
‘Bout time a game made use of the features/benefits of the new generation, beyond moar graphics. Looking forward to more.
It should be illegal (and actively enforced) to sell someone else’s product for more than MSRP without first “adding [your own] value” to it, plain and simple.
