Sony has 5 billion left for acquisitions.

I’m okay with games not being available forever. I don’t need to have all of them, I don’t need to play all of them, I don’t even need to replay/revisit any or all of them. If my memories aren’t sufficient, and if the stories I make and tell aren’t on par, then I’ll make new memories, and tell better stories.

“At the same time, the cooldown has certainly made me more thoughtful about what I’m doing in Diablo”

Things I realized I wanted nothing to do with after understanding what sacrifice of dignity, life and self was required:

First of all, sufficient preservation doesn’t need to be actual access to the media, IMO. Simple awareness that a thing existed is good enough, in most cases.

Just because they won’t release it officially now doesn’t mean they can’t or won’t later. You downloading and playing the game illegitimately now reduces your likelihood of you choosing to buy the game legitimately, or subscribe to whatever service when they do eventually choose to revive/offer the title.

Scarlet and Violet doesn’t deserve to be on this list. Ugly, poorly performing, motion-sickness inducing, glitchy, half-assed, lazy, trite, uninspiried gameplay, camera work, writing, character design, and world building shouldn’t be praised.

*Sees this conversation happening six years ago*

Yeah, but it’s fine. As long as the content of the comments aren’t time sensitive/requiring temporal context, then the conversation is just continuing, is all.

Seeing as most people are watching it on their phones, at arms length, while doing six other things, and the fact that there’s not really much going on, and it’s likely just in-engine footage for a game that is a cell-shaded endeavor for a cartoon property that was big when VHS was king...

The human brain cannot discern between virtual content/simulation, and actual experiences, for the most part. If you watch videos of a guy giving out money, having a good time, being a goofball, etc., then your brain thinks it’s happening to you. Within reason. You’re not tricked on a higher level, it’s not hypnosis.

Exclusivity isn’t about “making bank” on that particular, singular title - it’s about garnering brand loyalty.

Show me.

Well, because it’s not “important”. It’s a “nice to have” sort of thing - not required, or important for the future of Xbox to continue existing, or being good.

There’s a 96% chance that if I pick up the phone and call, the other person will put me on hold and make me wait entirely too long, accidentally hang up, tell me a bunch of contradictory information, not know the answer, but pretend to, and get it wrong, setting me up for failure later, etc.

Ironic that all these people using Microsoft Windows, Google Android, Apple iPhone, Safari, Chrome, Edge, AT&T, Comcast, Verizon, T-Mobile, Twitch (Amazon), YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Gawker, etc. - the tools of the master, so to speak - in order to attempt to dismantle the house of the master.

- It’s a human thing, not a Pokemon thing.

AI is just another form of automation. The problem I see, is, that most contries have poor infrastructure, in terms of taking care of its people, and automation, which should lead to fewer hours worked for the same amount of pay... hasn’t lead to that. People work more now, for equal or less pay.

Why did you post an image of a guy standing in front of a box?

I didn’t need kissing in Sonic, but I also never needed the constant, vehement gagging and wailing from the community that followed it.

The music of Midnight Gospel is also a good time. Whole show is a fever dream, but it’s also so dang chill, and interesting to listen to (script-wise, too).
