Wait. How so? Using the popularity and allure of someone else’s property in order to boost your own visibility and entertainment value?

Everybody was gifted the Platinum Anniversary legendary armor coating. And there are ten colors available by default?

Here’s my take after playing Halo for twenty years: I am *always* getting which team I’m on for any particular match mixed up. Sometimes it’s red, sometimes it’s blue. Sometimes it’s red five times in a row, then all of a sudden it’s blue. Was it blue last game? Is it blue this game? Red? I find myself hitting melee

I don’t understand how you can play racing games with streaming lag. You really must have an amazing setup. Either that, or you must be constantly counter-correcting every maneuver you make, and just don’t notice or care. There’s a 100ms of input lag on my livingroom TV and I can’t for the life of my play a racing

Agreed. I was at an actual Stadia show a few years back at a convention, and they couldn’t even get the lag down for that. Since then, having tried my hand at streaming stuff, it’s only slightly better than OnLive was, what, like, a decade ago? It hasn’t gotten better, IMO.

I miss when handhelds could fit in a pocket, could be tossed in a bag without it’s own dedicated mini-luggage, and lasted ten to thirty hours on a set of batteries. Even the Switch Lite isn’t as small as I’d like for it to be.

Huh. It didn’t even occur to me that the announcer/Halo existed in anything other than English.

I’m going to have to agree with the other comments - how it’s interpreted is very much based on what’s going on in your own head. It sounded to me like... a robot companion telling it’s user to prepare for battle. If Cortana was, like, “Prepare yourself, Chief”, all my brain thinks is, “Covenant inbound - I’m on the

I know everybody is worn out, bored out of their minds, and just super lonely/tired of waiting for things to get back to normal...

Stop voting for the lesser evil. You keep playing this game - it’s all a big show. The coporations and theives will continue winning until we do something drastic.

Alternatively, everybody needs to do this: Stop buying from scalpers. Don’t buy anything that you can’t order from the retailer, or pick up at the store.

That’s fine, too. It’s whatever. I don’t care - I’m having a good time regardless. When the whole pandemic thing eventually (hopefully) passes, I’m going to actively seek to play LAN with some people, pizza at the ready. Online play and desperately clambering to win, and/or place competitively just sucks the fun out

No, “eating your words” implies that you were wrong.

You know what they say about assuming, right?

... I, personally thought it was obviously not just going to sit in the backlog, unfinishable. I don’t know why you went straight for that hilariously bad worst-case-scenario.

This. So much this. I feel like I get so much hate when I make these exact points on Reddit.

I don’t think the lack of preservation is a threat to the future of the medium, let alone a major threat.

Sports games are always putting themselves at risk by using real player for anything.

I thought we knew this. Did we not already know this?
