You call it a trend, but I think what you mean is that those things are in the spotlight. There’s a lof of other games out and about, a lot of other games on their way, and the industry is the most diverse it has ever been. Headlines are going to be headlines, and games that try to most efficiently draw in and ensnare

There’s a lot of other games out there/coming out. It’s going to be okay.

Honestly, at this point I’m looking back and thinking I woud have been super okay with Jeopardy ending on the high note that it had. Sometimes the memories we cherish are best left as memories, and it’s best not to tarnish them with failed attempts at reliving them or artificially extending them.

When you say it has “largely” affected those that opted in to the Insider program, do you mean that there are some seeing this issue recently that aren’t on the Insider program? That’s concerning.

Is that funny? Doesn’t Ocarina of Time have, like, a tiny fraction of the objects on screen, a tiny fraction of the resolution, a tiny fraction of the polygon count, AI and gameplay mechanics so simplistic that a high school student could write it in their spare time, and a significantly smaller draw distance?

Nerd: “A nerd is a person seen as overly intellectual, obsessive, introverted or lacking social skills. Such a person may spend inordinate amounts of time on unpopular, little known, or non-mainstream activities...”

Or knows that they need to - for the benefit of others, and themselves. Can’t know the things you don’t know you don’t know.

Almost every business you could possibly, reasonably deal with in your daily life either runs on, is backed by, is supported by, or born from an “evil” coporation... or is one themselves. Unless you’re only buying evey single good and service from a local, consumer-auditable, small business/farmer’s market, using a

Quake Live was a thing for a handful of years starting in 2010. Free to play for the first while, but they weren’t making enough money, eventually went to Steam with an upfront cost, so there’s that. I think we can say that Quake never really went away - but it certainly wasn’t “popular” for a good while... and I

- I like limited ammo
- I like losing EXP/levels when I die
- I like always-on PVP/friendly-fire
... etc.

I... can’t even. I’m just going to say some things that pop into my brain now. There’s no pattern or structure - I just need to vent my thoughts:

It does a little.

At this point, we should just accuse them of being child molesters and call it a day - put the whole development team behind bars and ruin their lives.

I haven’t played Sword/Shield - are they terrible? I’ve only heard mostly good things/it has a 80 rating on Metacritic. That doesn’t sound terrible. What, in your opinion, is terrible about them? Like, are they just unplayable/devoid of fun? Or is the performance pretty bad on Switch?

Simply put, we’re all caught off guard by how not terrible the AI is.

I think the whole “take whatever clearanced, repeating print fabric you can find at the craft store and make it into a dress shirt” fad is tacky and unimaginative. It’s just a bunch of noise, and there are way more stylish ways to go about integrating gaming/nerd culture into a look than ironing on a patch or copying

Switch actually runs at a lower clockspeed than the Wii U did, and from what I’m reading, AF is not “free”. If the GPU is at all taxed, AF will hurt performance exponentially more. Keep in mind that the Switch is a handheld gaming device first and foremost (a lowest common denominator play state that must be catered

I would say Genshin Impact still looks better (I don’t know if you would consider that “cheap”, still though). However, my smart phone is significantly more powerful than a Switch at this point (and of course my PC is). I think what they’ve accomplished despite the Switch hardware, and their inexperience making large,

The comparison between Wii U and Switch hardware is an interesting one, for sure. There are complexities to consider regarding the fact that Switch is actually a handheld device, and every game must be designed around that “lower common denominator” play state - draw distances, object counts, post-processing, AI

Oh my gosh - Psychonauts 2 is so close, I hadn’t realized.
I never actually beat the first game - and I lost my save from when I was playing that. I need to jump back in.
