There is no such thing as “past 5". You’re either at five, or you’re at six. We’re not at six yet, so it’s still a 5. You have to hit that threshold for the number to change.

Wow. This is the first I’m seeing this comparison/observation. Dang, how did I not notice all these years?
Well, I’m sure a biological rival is significantly more relatable, and can more easily become a favorite character, seeing as they have realistic drives, dialog, actions and reactions (realistic, maybe not…
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is literally my favorite game of all time, forever (unless something drastically amazing happens in the game industry before I die). Certaily a good chunk of that is because it was bundled with the Sega Genesis my dad ordered from the FingerHut catalog for my birthday one year. I had a choice:…
But it had this masterpiece:
I severely miss the surprise of finding out just how massive (for the time/platform) Red Version was, having borrowed it from a friend. For the longest time, I only had the strategy guide to look through, not being able to afford the game, myself, and the guide simply did not convey the scale of the experience. It…
I mean, you’re not wrong - they don’t look so good, as in, when compared to other figures we’re used to seeing/the quality we tend to go for. But for seven bucks (oh, seven - I get it) for a chance to win one, or some other prizes? Good deal. As a non-collector, my shelves are perfectly capable of holding something…
Ooh. I’ve been talking about getting a Switch since the Lite was announced, but then I ended up burning all of my cash and then some on a trip to PAX West last year, so I didn’t have the money for it. Then, when I had birthday/Christmas money to use, I bought a new monitor instead to make my Xbox experience less…

I was taught that the “church” is simply the body of Christ, as in, the people and the fellowship of believers - not any specific place or building. And that if you want to create a central location dedicated for God-related activities, that’s fine, but the fellowship and Godliness is not bound by walls, and should sti…
Not a single image. Not even one.
There are 12,014,950,323 images of Tails getting... tail, though. People and their love of... fox love, amirite? Sheesh.
Needs to be a free-roaming (not necessarily sandbox), full-motion enabled exploration experience, with dance-battle mechanics worked in, like... random battles or something, but you see the Morolians wandering around, or maybe sometimes they teleport in to cut you off, etc. Like you’d see in most action platformers,…
Agreed on some of those points. I think it’s clear, however, that real-world performance still takes a backseat to innovation in the rendering or the input method, the quality of the crafted software and interfaces, etc. I don’t think I need to say it again, but I’ll say it again: Nintendo is killing it, yet again,…
Since when does VRR affect the appearance of jaggies? Last I checked it was only a solution for jitter/screen tearing. Does anybody have any resources they can point me to regarding that technology’s relationship with anti-aliasing efforts?
I’d argue that it’s still more plug-and-play than PC. It’s not the same as it was in the past, sure, but compared to starting from scratch on a PC? It’s night and day. Maybe we need a new term, but for the time being, it’s almost accurate. There are still some experiences that are truly plug and play.
Your grandma and…
Used to drink an energy drink a day. I started with Amp back when it first came out. I didn’t actually start my daily thing until about 5 years ago, maybe 6. Went off caffeine completely a couple of years ago. It’s fine. My hands are substantially more stable, and I can sleep all of two hours at night, and not feel…
“Fairness” is a thing everywhere, pretty much. If you’re darker skinned, that suggests that you had to work under the sun, versus relaxing in shade/within a castle or home. Manual labor was for peasants and slaves. The mindset is deeply embedded in our habits, our art, our world-views, etc. The less fair, the less...…
Someday, perhaps we’ll judge characters (and their creators), not by the color of their skin/color selections, but by the content of their character/writing & presence.
This - all of this - is moot if we lived in a world in which people didn’t need to identify with characters based on skin tone, and people didn’t make…
- Nobody is choosing to be outraged. That’s not how reactions or feelings work.
- Congressmon? Does that digivolve into Five-Star-Generalmon?
- So, you’re telling me a person must choose one thing to be outraged about, and once they’ve chosen, they’re locked in, and may not spend even a moment thinking or reacting to…
Oh my gosh. I was literally just thinking about this very unit. I found it at a garage sale as a kid and had to have it. So I did. And it was a good time. I don’t remember anything else about it except those words I’ve already typed above. Thank you for posting a the pic.
The fact that we rely on anything editable/distributed (verbal, written, printed, recorded media) has always been cause for concern regarding the accuracy and intention of knowledge transfer. This isn’t anything new. We can’t necessarily rely on ancient writings, stories passed down through generations, text books,…
It’s VR, but at specific locations? Interesting. I wonder what makes it unique enough to not be a home experience/justifying paying for venue/live staffing. Or is that just how they get non-VR system owners into the games? Is...
