Disappointing compared with past seasons. I give the boys a "meh."

Yes, that's a proenza schouler from the SS (or resort...I can't remember) 2012 line. Fashion diehards are just big sycophantic geeks. They would totally wear the metric tee...if it meant they got to sit in the front row.

Well, they're certainly hell-bent on destroying any collective power that unions currently have...when you start taking away employee rights and letting employment standards slip, education standards can't be far behind. I can't believe this race to the bottom.

It would seem more and more teachers in developed countries are being kicked around, vilified and scapegoated for a host of societal problems. Here in Ontario, our premier just passed a law that not only makes it illegal for us to strike, but has taken away our rights to negotiate our contract or to protest anything

Yep, had this happen to me in New Brunswick as a university student. My landlord was a drunken ex- baptist minister who knew no boundaries. Unannounced, he barged into my one-bedroom apartment one morning to discover my BF had stayed the night; he had told me previously this was not allowed, but I ignored him because

Totally! I read the headline and thought hmmmm....very strange. I'm pregnant and I certainly don't feel drunk. Am I missing out on something? ;-)

FYI those weird days off for "teacher development" are contractually required and necessary to continue improving our skills, knowledge and understanding. They do ultimately benefit students. Please keep inmind that public education is not a babysitting service.

"...researchers are a little baffled about why so many private school parents are starting to eschew immunization."

Oh for the love of...just shut the fuck up Lohan.

If your purse is slowing you down you need to get a new purse.

Gender is a social construct that we act out. Sex is our biological determination. Teens come in a lot more genders than "boys" and "girls" (gay boy, transgender girl, two-spirited individual, etc.) A supposedly progressive site like Jez should know the difference (and be using it).

Why does the headline use the term "gender" when the actual story splits among the two most commonly recognized sexes? C'mon Jez, this is really basic stuff. My students would be appalled!

Extraordinary response; I couldn't agree more. What we should be getting upset about is the US's complete lack of paid parental leave, not formula companies being barred from marketing through hospitals. Let's not lose sight of the real issue!

Yes, but improbably biased because I teach high school; in my experience it is those aged 25 and under who don't wear watches/can't rip their eyes away from their phone to make conversation. Maybe I'm just an old fart.

Oh, she is sooooooo beautiful! Venus is an appropriate name.

Wow, what a great idea. I'll spend half my allowance on a really ugly shirt that says something dumb about alcohol (clearly letting the world know I am a huge loser). Then, when I finally get to school, I'll be asked to take the offending shirt off/turn it inside out/be totally embarrassed at my wardrobe backfire.

Ain't that the truth!

Because you're a complete fucktard?

I'm with you Jenna. Shit like this makes me cringe. Maybe fashion wouldn't be a dirty word if design houses would cut out the crap. Sigh.
