I work at a design firm on branding and package design. Just to confirm what I’m sure everyone knows- this was 100% a real thing they were working on, I guarantee it. Companies are desperate to find and market to specific consumer targets, and gender essentialism is their default strategy.

Color me not shocked!

HAH I noticed that too! Like no construction site anywhere in America.

When I looked through the slideshow it was just varying degrees of, “HIM?????” He’s decent looking, sure. But top 10 models of all time? Fly him around the world, dedicate a book to him-good looking?? Is it just because he’s decent looking and so game for anything they want to do to/with/for him?

Right, agree. Yeah I probably should have specified, in the context of the show. In normal life it’s a different animal.

Arie is so so so mediocre and it pains me to watch these gorgeous, in some cases very accomplished, women fawn all over him like he’s in any way special!!! On the first episode one woman said, “He made me feel welcome, and that’s huge.” THAT’S HOW LOW THE BAR IS! It would be sad if I actually thought anyone wanted to

You are SO right! Even just casting mostly late 20s-30s I’d think would still cover a large portion of their viewers. I’m 34 and have plenty of friends my age who are still single. We’re one of the first generations where that doesn’t really feel weird and lots of folks are waiting for marriage or avoiding it

There were a few 23-year-olds but I can’t remember how many are left now. Plus as others have mentioned the seemingly really young but for now ?-age Bekah. It was driving me kind of crazy during the premier bc he’s 36!!! And even though I know they obvs don’t really wanna marry him- go home and have fun and stop

I was definitely turned off for the same reasons. This article has made me reconsider and I’ll definitely check it out, but still a little skeptical. The title also turned me off- same initial barrier I had with My Crazy Ex Girlfriend, so I should know better than to judge by that.

I feel really naive- until now I’ve been like, “WHY do they keep getting these D-list actors from shows I’ve never heard of??” Figuring it was some deal between networks or something. But duh, obviously it’s just another symptom of the decline since Lifetime took over. Like, if I were someone who had spent years and

My interpretation was that the corporate overlords at Dixie had decided that they wanted a “cool, edgy” black and white pattern on their shitty cups so they made the judges choose Claire.

I also was surprised no one brought up that the black top Claire ended up making had verrrrry similar slit cut-outs to the ones in the gray dress Shawn had been wearing at the end of episode 7/beginning of episode 8. It was a knockoff head-to-toe!

WHAT HAPPENED TO HER?? Money? Is money the answer?

I have had a very rough week and this is genuinely giving me so much LIFE right now! I feel stronger and more beautiful just having watched this, for real. I’m in LOVE with her!

ACK that is amazing! OMG you HAVE to bring up Monster Daughter!!!!

Yeah, it’s definitely a thing- I know two guys named Kris, both with K- last names. Do people just think K is a... fun? letter? What’s the deal with double K names??

I don’t even watch RH (I do, however, listen to Bitch Sesh), but I have a strange fascination with Kim Z-B and how fast she had those kids. Like, the speed at which her life moved amazes me.

Seriously? I saw the one where someone off camera is pointing a gun at a fish/shark- can’t believe I just typed that sentence- but I didn’t see one where he and his MAGA hat are visible.

This is actual poetry.

The shark thing is absolutely disgusting and horrible but since he wasn’t actually there this seems like the bigger story! He’s a racist, misogynist, stupid piece of shit! Why am I not surprised?

Side note: I need to stop reading stories like these because it seriously makes me tear up a little when I see human garbage
