Can you believe we wear the most unflattering, try-too-hard clothing known to man and convince people it's "fashion"?? HAhahahahaha

Some gals at my work were doing one (I guess they made it up?) but their league was full, so we started our own! Luckily we work at a design firm, so we got to use our skills to make the most ridiculous thing ever in the world. This is our board at the end of the season, displaying my "winning" team. We each paid…
Yeah, I know what you mean about how it might seem like a good option to him. And he's probably thinking that even if the show doesn't work out, he'll probably still meet someone through it somehow (though I can see him being genuinely invested in the process). And I also agree that he is bland for TV, probably…
I totally took that as a joke, though maybe that was naive of me. Later on I thought they talked about her working as a lawyer in the nearest town? But maybe that was Andi and his mom. Either way, I'm sure this season will successfully ruin him for me so I might as well just start thinking he's a jerk now :)
I thought Chris was adorable and super sweet, which is why I was rooting against him becoming the Bachelor. He should have found a nice girl on a farmers only dating site or something. I'm already dreading the parade of cowboy boots and pigtails as all the contestants bend over backwards to prove how "cool" they are.
Whoops, should have read all the replies! I see you're already aware of the awesomeness that is that episode. "There's a lotta carrots in that stew..."
I don't think there was a "change." I grew up lower middle/working class and we'd usually go to a richer neighborhood closer to a friend of mine's house. They gave out full size candy bars! They even did a Bob's Burgers episode about it :)
I am finally growing out of this. Buying my first house by myself and breaking up with the boyfriend who, even now after two years, is shocked and appalled when I get mad. I'm a little scared- being 30 and single wasn't something I expected when I was young and dreaming- but mostly? I'm excited. I feel so much more…
Growing up I was in a big choir in the Cincinnati area and we got to perform with her. She was probably in her late 60s by then, and I didn't totally know why she was so famous, but when I got older and figured it out... wow, that was pretty cool. Also, White Christmas is one of my all-time favorites now. This song is…
Man, I know it's not cool of me to talk about Leonardo DiCaprio's looks when he's talking about such important things but... DAMN! He has been my man for all the ages! When I was in junior high and he was in Romeo + Juliet, he was the baby faced, blue-eyed boy I wanted, and he stuck with that while I was in high…
I went ahead and ordered this one, but I will definitely keep that site in mind. For some reason I always forget about them!
Well I think am going to get that one altered but I found this one and decided to splurge on express shipping. I kinda love it and it looks like it'll be super fun to dance in! Now my next quest will be to find a badass strapless bra, haha. I'm not making it easy on myself but it is so pretty. Thanks for all the good…
Yeah, those are both great suggestions- a bright blazer might actually work great. The problem is that the neckline/shoulder/arm area is just too big and boxy on me. So if I got hot (like I tend to) and took it off, it looks like I'm wearing a giant t-shirt or hospital gown haha. Thanks for the thought though, I never…
I need some suggestions on where to buy a cute, cool (On-trend?), plus-size (16-18) dress to wear to a wedding next Saturday. I love ASOS, and that's been my go-to, but the dress I ordered that just came today is super unflattering which sucks because I love the print :( I don't think I have time to order something…
Seriously, it makes me really sad. I feel like she's been bullied into that... look. It's a little frightening.
Yikes, that's awful! I've heard it's a distinct possibility. I coughed 'til I puked a couple times but luckily no one was around.
I had whooping cough last year (lasted for like three months- nightmare- and I was vaccinated as a child) so I have a concept of how terrible it feels. But seeing it in a tiny person?? TERRIFYING! I don't even have kids and this brought tears to my eyes. How can they risk it??
Yeah, it's pretty bad. The sauce is so sweet and acidic. I think they even reformulated it recently (it used to be our go-to quick Friday dinner- pizza and salads) because it had these bright green flecks that I think were supposed to be oregano? But it somehow got worse!
Thanks so much for your perspective! I really hadn't considered that somehow, but of course you're right. My vet is awesome and I know she's an animal lover who would absolutely comfort her if I were unable. That does make me feel better.
When our family dog was put down I was 20 and didn't have the guts to be in the room with her. I'm crying now, 10 years later, just thinking about it. My mom and her boyfriend (who had been a great friend to her in the last 5 years of her life) were there, thankfully. Now my pug, Fancy, is 8 and recently diagnosed…
