Perhaps zoom-snore for the hard-core, but for the many sallies that prefer the Miata with a slushbox, the arrangement might be as fun as any.

Edison & Ford. Two brilliant but sinister F#©ks. I would have preferred Nikolai Tesla and Ferdinand Porsche.
@brust: Haha, sweet! Every MG/A/B must consider the Miata option eventually. Then again, I'm sure there is a certain pleasure to all that pain. We kind of need the die-hards around, though. You know, the crazies. Helps keep the world in balance.
@geschmidtt: It's not often that you get an appropriate, non-engine-sound soundtrack on Youtube auto-vids.
I've never seen so many early 70's Audis, and all lined-up and shiny-like. Sorry...I'm getting verklempt...
@civicdrivr: Creeeepy.
@ArtForge:
"I don't care how close your contractions are."
To speednuts: You know what they say about dudes who drive really big cars and trucks? We Miata fans must be the antithesis.
@IN THE FACE!: Jesus. That's not a Triple-Wasp, is it?
The horror! The horror!
@OMGItsWeasel: It was not a GTX...THAT I would have immediately understood. It was a late 80s hatchback. the one with the weird, Gremlin-like rear end. It was, at least if I remember correctly, one of the various sub-overdrive 4-speeds that spun 4k+ at 70mph. That alone gave those little cars some low-speed oomph.
@dallasmay: That's not so crazy. Indiana Jones managed to make it across one of these with 100 angry, withcraft-possessed swordsmen chasing him. I don't even think he lost his hat.
@Enorym: I love this. It kind creeps me out though, like it's the bridge to hell.
BOOO!!!
I definitely have a thing for the old, light, tinny Troopers in all their unrefined Jeepy goodness, but in the case of an Isuzu I think I'd rather have the 4-pot gasser. Easier to work on and to find parts for here in the states—and lets face it you will need plenty of parts.
@Elhigh: "I like lots of old cars for the eccentric way they answer questions, and how so many of those questions are now moot."
@maximum_sarge: It took me a long time to appreciate the SEC set, even though it's what all the drug-addled villains in Miami Vice drove.
Yeah! Thanks for featuring the Red Pig, the greatest and weirdest racing incarnation from Mercedes, back when they made their greatest cars [IMHO].
When I was in tech school circa '93 there was a guy who loved to go on and on about his Mazda 323. Everyone thought he was batshit, but I was personally amazed that he had so much to say about such little car. I finally got it when I bought a Miata ten years later.
