Yeah, with the base Civic now getting up to 180 HP, 200 HP just doesn’t really cut it anymore. 200 can be got in most of Hyundai and Kia’s higher trims. It should probably be closer if not matching or outright exceeding the GTI’s HP.

I mean if we’re being honest and splitting hairs, this is less proper hatchback than it is a fastback. The opening is the same style as something like the A5 or Kia Stinger.

Agreed, I have never seen so many psychos on the road. Likewise, most of my commutes since people started going back to work en masse about 6-8 weeks ago have usually been increased due to an accident. Accidents happened before the pandemic, but not this frequently.

I think the Arteon is nice and I’d definitely get one if I could afford one. But I just don’t think it’s really the right product. The Stinger works slightly more because it’s sold as a value A5. This doesn’t really have any kind of story past the “Well VW loves making halo cars.” But the people that can afford halo…
