Curious to know the quality of the base model. As stated the Corolla hybrid starts at 3k more than this. Are we looking at the return of a stripper model?

Since I mostly do city driving and have a lead foot, yes. I have a 2020 Civic and only get 26 MPG with it. I’ll be going hybrid for my next one.

This checks out. Traffic has exploded in my neck of the woods between the oddly timed construction (You had an awful lot of time last year to do this with less cars on the road, guys) and increased accidents.

Same with the 3. They’re sticking to what the traditional sizing for compact and midsize sedans are, whereas the Accord and Camry are pretty much what full size sedans used to be. IIRC the Accord and Avalon have near identical rear leg room.

I was hoping the 6 would get some upgrades that the 3 got. I guess I’ll hold out hope for the mythical RWD model that feels even more unlikely now.

I will say that at least it’s probably more true a name than most of those. “We took one of our best selling vehicles and we made it into a crossover” vs. “We have one valuable brand and we’re gonna use it to make this not seem like a slow commuter/compliance car”
