My first car! Started breaking down around 80-90k miles. Does not qualify.

Nissan is basically the corporate embodiment of “is it better to burn out or fade away?” They could have died a legend, the fallen creators of the Z and GT-R - for all the good that would do the people out of work - but lived on in mediocrity and stagnation.
So let me see if I have this right.
Sure, and that’s why I have a Civic Hatchback (it’s surprisingly light and nimble). But when said Civic exists the Si doesn’t really look that much better like it used to. I just used the GTI as an example for HP numbers
New Civics have a knob. They unfortunately took out the touch controls on the steering wheel volume rocker which I loved.
The Si to me is just in a weird place. The regular Civic is quite quick with the turbo motor, and the Si just isn’t the step up it used to be. Oh sure it has the suspension tweaks and you can only get it in manual, but it used to be much more powerful than the regular Civic. It’s a weird step going from bottom tier…
Hopefully you’ll leave next, jackass
I still see plenty of Focuses and Fusions being driven around. I would understand killing the Fiesta, but the other two seemed like they were doing fine. Truly cutting the nose to spite the face.
Pick a wagon
I remember living in the hell that was the late 2000s, when every Setzer and Friedberg turd would get a multi-million dollar ad campaign full of their horrible anti-jokes. It is so nice to see they’re still making movies and that they’re complete failures now.
Said this recently in other comment threads, but even my dad knew this back in the Prius’ heyday. The Prius was a preview of the future from its styling to its function. Eventually the future arrived, but Toyota were too afraid to pull the plug instead of just telling people to get a Corolla Hybrid. I mean I’d rather…
I remember even at the time people asking “Who is this car for?” Well it was basically me. A car that looked cool, got better gas mileage on paper than my current car, and wasn’t Prius expensive (IIRC). I nearly leased one out of college after my first car really started to go downhill. Ended up with a base model Civic…
Get a bike then
I still don’t know why people thought it was a good idea to 1. make and then 2. buy SUV-ified sedans
Minis are just too goddamn expensive for what they offer. I’ve always been interested in them, check them out, and are repelled by the price. Quirky looks don’t justify being priced $7k+ than a Type R or a top trim GTI
Neutral: Nothing. Old people like them because they are easy to get into. Women (the majority of new car buyers) like them because the elevated position and mass of the car makes them feel safer (Source: Women SUV owners I’ve spoken with)
I gasped at the description of the car in the third question and then again when he offered money for it
Nothing. It’s a different era now. The closest I can think would be the Prius in the 2000s, but only in the sense that the rich drove it too. There’s nothing I can think of that fulfills that criteria and is also entry level.
I love to cherry pick quotes from a long post. Can’t get enough of it. You?
In that respect, a look at your local car dealership probably doesn’t look much different than it did 10 years ago. Almost every vehicle has a gas cap, a few of them are hybrids, but for many brands, there are still no electric options.
