Soon, it will get into stuff I actually remember. Lord Mountbatten, don't break up Prince Charles & Camilla just because she's not quite a virgin. (Oh, and don't go boating on your next Irish visit.)

Failing to give the showmakers a way to wrap up the plotlines really hurts Netflix's "brand."

More standup comedy. And shows leased from BBC. I love that Brit stuff—but it was great to see really original American programming.

Hoping somebody will pay for your prose some day? Nope, I've seen that stuff before.

So why not underwrite a long final episode, since the locations have been consolidated a bit? I know I'm late to the thread—I just found out.

I never watched one episode of "Friends."

They'll come up with something grittier & cheaper. Sense8 gave us ultra-violence. And sex. But also beautiful scenery and inspiring scenes of friends & family. (Nomi's father at the wedding!)

Yup. Even if the plot was slow to kick in, just looking at Season 1 sucked me in. So beautiful.

And the original Sensates had friends & family who weren't young & beautiful—but interesting.

The plot kicked in slowly but I found the characters interesting. And I loved the beautiful, international settings. So I was happy to watch & let things develop.

I finished Season 2 slowly because I knew it would be a long time to season 3. Then discovered this news—I'm even late to this thread.

You need to expand your horizons. Your definition of "weird" is a bit pedestrian.

What point are you trying to make by blocking your post history?

Heh, I'm reminded of some Baby Showers I've been to. Not the modern type with both genders in attendance. No, the old fashioned Women Only type. With sweet drinks & sweet little snacks & frilly decorations. And talk about just how long someone was in labor and just how many stitches someone else required. Ick!

How do you KNOW? Find a suitable film & work with management to have a Mens' Only showing. Make it a benefit for prostate cancer & throw in free tests! Then, if any evil woman objects, you can play the martyr.

Heinlein wrote Stranger in a Strange Land about two years after Starship Troopers. He was difficult to categorize and a lot of his writing still stands up well. (Heck, I like Kipling & have no nostalgia for The British Empire.)

What's next, an update of Buckaroo Banzai?

Watch? I've got a ticket to Guardians of the Galaxy 2; yes, it takes a lot to get me out to see a film but I really liked the previous one. Watch at home? I'm still rationing Sense8—it would be too easy to gobble up the whole thing….

Give the man a Laphroig!
