I’m in favor of massively restricting access to guns, but I don’t want to base it on the terror watch list either. It’s murky and without due process (sure, you can write a letter, but who says they’ll do anything about it?); it’s not a good standard to decide how we restrict gun rights.

Yes, I am totally a dumb hick racist because I don’t think the government should take away rights without having to prove anything. All they have to do is put your name on a list. It’s a bad precedent to set, especially with the possibility of a Trump presidency.

There is meaningful work that can be done to make gun purchases safer, but the terror watch list definitely a stupid thing to hang your hat on. The FBI has a pretty long history of naming liberal activists as terrorists. Also, it doesn’t have due process.
