While that is true, I think that Wikipedia is still orders of magnitude more accurate than journals are.

So much agreement. I’ve found so many good primary/secondary sources or paths to them from the citations at the bottom of a good Wiki page. I’d never say “don’t use wikipedia as your source”, but I phrase it like “use wikipedia! ... for the sources they cite that take you to reputable sites”.
This! When I was doing grad school a few years ago it was made explicitly clear that Wikipedia was NOT an acceptable reference. But a Good Wikipedia article will have its own sources, and many of them were just fine to use.
I don’t think that, conceptually, Superman has to be white. I do think a lot of people have developed a relationship with that character and its associated look over a period of decades. Racism can and has been a major factor in why many oppose non traditional casting or changing the race of characters.
I think a really thoughtful movie based on “Icon” would have been an AMAZING vehicle for Will Smith and could have opened the door to an entirely new type of superhero movie. I personally think Icon is an oft-overlooked but excellent character that is perfect for bringing something to the big screen.
SUPERMAN IS NOT WHITE! lmao, he’s a fucking alien. FFS people.
Nothing about the character of Superman requires him to be white... literally nothing about him even IS white. He’s a fucking alien, and if he showed up looking hispanic, black, asian or any other ethnicity it wouldn’t impact the story in the least.
I appreciate your well reasoned and thought out reply and I agree :)
Gee, and people still wonder why we use ad blockers still, or protest the videos that play when they get into the “field of view” of the browser window when I don’t want to listen to much less watch it play.
I like the following approach better:
No David, people need to know about this one affordable cure for coronavirus that the liberals don’t want you to know about that my aunt sent me! They need to know!!!
I’ve also just noticed that the black part that houses the sticks is completely separate from and sandwiched between the front and back shells, with TWO fairly large extruding seams. That feels like a bad idea.
Also, a splash of color makes it look way better, in my opinion.
What I like/love:
*The dpad is identical to previous dualshocks, thank christ.
*The PS logo cutout as a button is brilliant
*Dedicated mute button.
*Textured thumbsticks, fucking finally.
What I don’t immediately like:
*The dual lightbars, which we goddamn well better to be able to fully disable.
*The even larger…
If you think he’s a pedophile, don’t buy the book. Don’t go to his movies. Don’t go listen to him play jazz at the Carlyle. Vote with your wallet...by withholding it. In America, that’s how we do.
Yeah, but they spend dollars to do things, and they are comprised of collectives of people, and this collective of people decided to vote with their dollars by not giving Woody Allen an advance.
This is an important conversation, and we all thank you for having it.
Ayn’t life gRand?
I was wondering about that but the article didn’t explain it. If they get a request that they don’t like, what’s to prevent them from skipping it? Do you not see the details until after you’ve accepted the job or something?
Can’t wait for all the Atlas Shrugged assholes to show up and start yelling “if they don’t like the tasks, they don’t have to do them, bootstraps!” or some shit like that. The big takeaway for me is that there is that there are people who have to depend on this to support themselves because our society leaves them few…
It can’t share your physical activity if you don’t have any. *taps head*
