13 comments and no one’s even trying to cast Mr. Monopoly. For shame.

Eh, not even a Potter fan, but I don’t see it as any different than people being rabid sports fans. So long as people can recognize that escapism isn’t a place you fucking *live* in, whatever.

“I do Cameos, and people say, ‘Oh, we’re having a Harry Potter-themed wedding,’ and I think, ‘Gosh, what’s their first night of fun going to be?’” She laments. “I can’t even think about it.”

Did they also sign the Salmon Ladder?

Correction: Tom Hiddleston has always been the low-key best actor in the MCU.

It seems kind of odd to specifically fault the second season for focusing too much on Kang and “the MCU’s next big phase,” given how the first season ended. Like, I get that all media decided to totally shift its view of Marvel a couple of years back, but there’s a way to do that and still make sense.

That’s kind of how I saw it. And I almost think it was mostly about Gosling having decades of red carpet experience so he knows how quickly those photographs get taken. Having someone’s hand on your waist will ruin the line of the suit and look weird in the pictures. But he only had a split second to make that clear

Gosling was uncomfortable, politely set a boundary, Liu apologized and life went on.

In related AV Club news, a website that ushered its former writing staff out the door and replaced them with cheaper, more industry-friendly writers is reporting on the plight of writers.

I still find it hard to understand WHY no-one can find a new home for the Skrulls. The Guardians movies have show that there are many, many potential worlds out there. For example, Berhert, the planet they crash on in Vol. 2. Why didn’t anyone just get in contact with Xandar (I’m confident Danvers would have connected

this!

That was great.

Love that the NX-01 crew finally got a shout-out. It was always Captain Archer that got name dropped.

Great episode, the moment where Christine realized that her relationship with Spock doesn’t even make it to a historical footnote was genuinely touching. “History needs him to be the exact opposite of what you need him to be in a relationship” is hard to hear.

Boimler definitely needed Mariner to play off of. With just him, it’s a fish out of water, which is fine, but a little cringe because of how hard he’s fan-boying. When Mariner showed up and they started giving each other shit, that’s when the episode really got going. They both occupy their own little spheres as far

This looks amazing. And I don’t even like musicals! But I love this show for taking such a crazy, big risk, and I have full faith it will be a treat.

The Dark Knight Rises is easily Nolan’s laziest film.

I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t love Lizzy Caplan

The most important thing, that this review overlooks, is that Oscar-Winning Actress Olivia Colman (which she must always be referred to as) drops a “cake or death” reference in the most lovably sociopathic manner possible.
