Oppenheimer’s hype is solely based on the fact that it’s a Christopher Nolan film. The exact same movie—same cast and all—could be a Masterpiece Theater film and no one would pay any attention to it. It would be a blurb in an AV Club “what to watch” column, with zero follow-up.
Look at the amount of screen time Grogu had in each episode in the first two seasons.... Sure, Din was working to protect him, but most episodes he’d hand the kid over to the babysitter of the week, and Grogu would only have a reaction shot or two an episode.
The Quarren captain was portrayed by Christine Adams. I would have been happy to have her be *the* guest star for the episode... but then to have Christopher Lloyd? As just... some guy?!!?! Incredible. The casting on this show is bonkers and I love it.
Could Ms. Graham been a little more thoughtful? Sure... although considering a Red Carpet you have to try to remember 4-5 thoughtful things about 300 people, a little slack can be given. (Given the chaotic nature, I can forgive the ‘thinking Vanity Fair is talking about Vanity Fair.’)
“I fucking hate Steve Guttenber.”
Whomever it is needs to play well against Karen Gillan, who would kill it as Lois Lane.
Nana Visitor was a guest on the Shuttlepod podcast recently and briefly shared that Andy Griffith was not enjoyable to work with.
I didn’t get to watch them live. Did the orchestra play “Brand New Day” from The Wiz during the end credits? Or has an award show finally found another song to play?
‘There are parts of it you can be proud of’ is a great way to sum up the FOX X-Men universe. It does not specify how large or small those parts are of the whole.... but there are some good parts.
The show Superman & Lois does a great job showing that being Superman is easy, it’s being Clark Kent that’s tough.
Considering how relatively few full Vulcans there were when Wrath of Khan came out, she really nailed that role.
Riverdale truly was just ridiculous moments stitched together with barely a through-line between them. I did drop out of the show shortly after they jumped ahead in time, but I think the most ridiculous moment is still Chad Michael Murray about to travel in a homemade rocket.
Season Two wishlist:
Anything with Sela Ward in it is re-watchable.
as well as his own sex tapes to Yeezy team members.
... I want to know if King M’Baku will keep the Council of Thirsty Murderers, or if he’ll replace them with people who don’t escalate things super quickly.
They even leaned a lot on Chelsey Crisp and Ray Wise’s characters towards the end. They are both excellent! Honey was a great character, and Ray Wise always brings it. But, they were the neighbors! The white neighbors!
On-screen, Daredevil is busy bashing in drug dealer skulls and keeping the night nurses in business.
11. Why does Sauron look like a CW version of Aragorn? (And what is the Dark Lord’s skin treatment routine?)
