Hunter’s the group’s leader/father.

I think ignoring” is more because of COVID-19 restrictions and not knowing when any episodes would air at any time, so they just stayed ‘insular’ as to avoid spoiling plot points.
Oh, Gen. Lane and Papa Kane are definitely sharing the “Worst CW Dad” title. I think maybe even Hiram Lodge over on Riverdale has one or two more redeeming qualities than those two do.
I think the main difference is, somehow, Clark didn’t know Gen. Lane had these weapons. Traditionally, Superman and Batman know of each other’s ultimate weapons, and have a peace about it.
What a multiverse full of madness!
I always assumed Marion was around the same age as Indiana Jones. Guess I’m a bad paying attenion-er!
Didn’t the Martez sisters say that “he” would be interested in the intel? I’m guessing their contact is Bail Organa. Jimmy Smits always seems eager to reprise the role in any media. Plus, as one of the core founders of the rebellion, it would make sense for him to be contacted directly this early on in the struggle.
I don’t know for certain, but I think with the uncertainty over when each show would air, it was just easier to avoid referencing the other shows. Almost all Arrowverse shows seem to be avoiding winks and nods this season. (Except for Legends who tried to visit the DEO, which was hilarious.)
Amazed at how they elevate ‘patriotism’ far far above anything else, like, fellow countrymen.
Oh yes, that’s why wreath-laying ceremonies at graveyards are well-attended and last all day long and not just twenty minutes so people can still go hiking or beaching or whatever.
I’m all about weird corporate sponsorship. A streaming services funding the arts? Okay!
Poor Omega. She’s not actively trying to disobey Papa Hunter, but her lifelong desire to explore the galaxy overrides all other impulses, and you truly get that with her character. Hunter, to his credit, doesn’t actively squash that curiosity, he just tries to keep her safe whenever possible.
People who are afraid of their voice being silenced are usually just afraid of other voices being heard.
I assume the public thinks Steve Rogers died from the attack on New Avengers Headquarters in New York. I assume Old Man Rogers can live longer than most humans? If he’s not dead, he’s probably off-world on a mission for Fury or Strange.
Back in my day, your level of fame was based on if you had your picture on a cereal box, not if a fast food combo was named after you...
I think about a month was the longest I ever had one last too. Even now there’s still a dedicated group of people who will drive after-hours to take down the gyms in my area, like, *all* of the gyms, so it was no easy task. Thankful for a weird little gym in a secluded industrial park with little thru-traffic and…
I feel like whomever is on the “In Memory Of” subcommittee probably has the most thankless job at award shows. It’s either too fast, or too slow, or not enough people, or too many people that the public doesn’t know... It’s a real no-win job.
I’ve yet to fully test this thesis out, but I have a theory that the absolute worst kind of politician is a state legislator. Everyone, from school board all the way up to the three branches of power, all of them have their smudge marks on their record. But state lawmakers tend to attract the exact kind of people who…
I don’t know what made me laugh more, the flimsy excuses to take Chillblaine’s shirt off multiple times in the episode, or Chillblaine and Frost pausing twice in their fight to eye-flirt with each other. Props to both actors for conveying a slightly confused “wait, is this hot?!!?!” look on their faces.
Did they let J-LD write her own dialogue? Because compared to how all the other characters talked, her lines were fast and funny. It wasn’t just that it was her saying it, it felt like HER style.
