Um no. Angel fucking ruined one of the best characters in all of the Whendonverse (Cordelia). Angel also had a whole season that was horrendous. Angel’s son is the worst character ever.

You can buy the entire Buffy on dvd for like $50, Firefly, even less.  Angel is trash, so who cares.
