I’m pretty sure there WILL be a barbecue scene. This is something very easy to implement in a movie like that and it will wipe out the anger of every fan in the theater because they will be, like, “OH ! THE BARBECUE STUFF ! THEY DID IT ! AHAHAH ! AWESOME !”.
And that’s how you put people on your side.

To be honest, both modern weapons and dragons are not incompatible, as we’ve seen in Reign of Fire. Problem is, I doubt the movie will have that quality.

Basically, Yakuza are not in it for the killing, what they want is MONEY. Killing people has proven to be an unefficient way to make people pay.

I wouldn’t be so sure. I know people there translating into French and my understanding is that they work from the Japanese text. Now, I’m talking about games that don’t already have an English text, but it would seem reasonable to ask people whose job is to translate from Japanese to European languages to do the job…

There ARE many differences and people usually look down on Woolsey’s translations, saying the new ones are more accurate than his. I personally LOVE Woolsey’s translation of FF6 and won’t play any other version of that game. “son of a sub-mariner” is so relevant, how can you decide to go with something else ?

That is exactly the case and why they’ve been butchering their classic games over and over and over gain when porting them, even though they have access to a far better technology than what they had back in the days.
