Yes and no. Pretty much every Jaguar is sold for at least 10k off msrp, perhaps with the exception of the suvs. My dealer is emailing me with offers of 30k off msrp on all in stock xj, before negotiation.

It’s an all too familiar story. Otherwise good people do stupid things when they get desperate. Seems like they got in a tough financial situation, took some risks to try to fix it, and then went dark when that didn’t work.
Front and sides look great. Rear looks like bmw meets civic type r. Meh.
The court said mecum could sell it, not the original owner. The original owner signed the contract with ford, not mecum. My guess is that ford still has recourse against that original owner. Sometimes the action houses themselves buy the car and then sell it.
Can confirm it actually exists ;). Was shopping for a ghibli at Ferrari/Maserati of Long Island. The one I wanted was in the warehouse next to the dealership. Next to it was said MC-12 and a 288gto and a bunch of other amazing cars. That was an amazing surprise. Cool thing was sales guy seemed as much in awe as me.…
Agreed. Everyone here loves to complain about German and Italian reliability. None of them are that bad in warranty. In fact, most are pretty good. Outside of warranty, most of the problems are minor that can be fixed by the weekend warrior. Some are more complicated, but rarely terminal (leaking gaskets, I am…
First, you know nothing about me, so don’t assume anything.
I am no trump fan, but at least he is doing something and making progress. Why did nobody else do anything for all these years!?
BMW Z3 with the 4 cylinder engine.i know people lust after the m versions, but there was something special about that light first gen 4 cylinder. Next to a Miata, it was the most tossable, fun car I have driven. The steering was the most communicative I have experienced (including all sorts of porches and other…
Wait, what?!
I am shocked that that many seats were non-revenue though. Crazy.
My friend and his family flew the Concorde on miles. They had a pretty large family business and bought lots of things on credit cards leading to a stockpile of millions of miles.
All good points. Not advocating one way or the gen other, just asking the question. With mail volume falling and other good options for delivery of daily essentials, I was merely wondering if the role of the post office makes sense in its current form. Are there other government services which the post office could…
At the risk of angering many, do we even need the post office anymore? I have never once had a good experience there. Customer service is at best marginal. As another commenter said, fedex etc could deliver everyone’s mail once or twice a week. More urgent, send it express and pay more. I get the whole rural…
Watching them all try to jump the divider to escape is hilarious. They all just bounce off and aren’t even close. Like the time my puppy tried to jump on the couch and just face planted into the side.
Yes. Destroying evidence that is potentially relevant to ongoing or threatened litigation is almost always a no no. I am shocked nobody has sought sanctions and an adverse inference against Goodyear and its legal team for doing so. I don’t know all of the facts, but I would think that would be one of the first things…
Car is pictured at miller motor sports in Greenwich and also on the main Greenwich strip. Short answer, lots of people with unfathomable amounts of money. The money some people have around here is staggering.
I always thought a lot of those 500,000 orders might cancel. Moving loyal buyers from a car with a four month delay to one with a one month delay only makes sense if your order book isn’t quite as robust as you led people to think.
Counterpoint. Yes they can afford to pay, but they may also be the most difficult to get the payout from. Especially if the are in town on diplomatic papers.
I don’t understand it either, but that’s what my insurance company told me. The insurance companies spent 2 years arguing about how the 10k was going to get divided amongst the 6 month-at fault parties. Imagine that cost them more than just eating the entirety of that loss. The accident really made me rethink…
