Seconding the counseling recommendation from Hannibal!

How well do you know the people at her school? Do you think there is a teacher, counselor, or nurse she could safely speak to *if* she came out and were harassed?

Hugs! I don’t have any parenting advice other than to keep on keeping on.

One of the best things you can do for her is help her learn how to interact with people who are homophobic and remain intact and okay. Not saying you need to throw her in the fire or force interactions, but when those interactions happen - talk her through them, help her develop coping skills, help her understand

I get that. Parenting is hard. And it’s such a weird world right now! Good luck.

You sound like great parents! How does your family view counseling?  It might be helpful for her to have professional help understanding staying safe without seeing that as secretive because she is doing something wrong.

I think your best bet is to continue to be supportive, and help her through the probably very confusing years ahead. Sexuality is confusing for everyone, and doubly so for a young girl who is

Just a regular reminder that detox like this is not real and has no actual benefits.

Like the majority of people I’m sure, I hate cancer. However, having personally known two women who have died from Ovarian Cancer, may I give this type an especially hearty ‘Fuck You’? (Along with Multiple Myeloma...not enough ‘fuck you’ for that one.)

I had pretty severe rosacea on my nose and cheeks in my 20s, when I was on high doses of prednisone for Crohn’s Disease. Every time I went into a warm room in winter, I could feel my face flushing, and it didn’t go away. And the bumps that would appear on my nose, ugh. And I never drank at all. Fortunately, the

Gin blossoms are not a real thing scientifically speaking. At least not in the way you are thinking. Rosacea is a common skin conditioned characterized by red splotchy skin, papules, pustules and visibly dilated blood vessels on and around the face and nose. It is most prevalent in people of Northen European descent

Well aren’t you just #Blessed to have the most perfect well behaved child, the rest of us who do child centered activities once in a while are most definitely raising heathens.

Or you could recognize that all kids are different and it’s not necessarily a byproduct of parenting. I have two kids who could not be more different despite coming from the same gene pool and living in the same environment. My 3 year old daughter can entertain herself for hours and need nothing from anyone, while my
