big disagree. the movie shook me in a way i haven’t felt since i was a kid watching horror films, and i’d probably call horror my favorite genre of film. 

Seriously.  I can’t think of a movie that has stuck with me like that one.  Just its mention in this review turned by stomach a little.

Who are all you people who didn’t like Hereditary and where did you come from 

I know it’s a cliche to say that, actually, the real scariest part of the movie was Annie finding Charlie’s body, but that was what really rattled me. I don’t have a kid, so it wasn’t really the parental-fear angle that got to me so much as the fact that such displays of huge, gut-wrenching grief make me shut down.
