Wait, Orlando Jones is playing Mr. Nancy?

I’ve never yelled out so loud in suprise as when Willow was blasted across the room and it cuts to Giles standing in the doorway.

Now playing

I was 13 when Buffy premiered and the show quickly became my everything. While most of my classmates were watching Friends, Buffy was my must-see TV. And sharing a room with two siblings, the only TV time I asked for were Tuesday nights.

I can’t pick a single episode. I have my favorite moments:

!!!

Giles, It was always that librarian. Broke my heart when ASH couldn’t do it full time anymore but understandable. Was great when he came back with all that magic to stop Willow. But I did love his and Jenny Calendar’s relationship. Giles had the most interesting past than any of the Scooby Gang put together.

Spike’s era-skipping sermon on the Slayer’s death wish was just brilliant. Conception, writing, performance, editing - the whole package.

-All of the dream sequences that foreshadowed Dawn’s existence ahead of her arrival

Ok, everyone here is going to talk about how great an episode “Hush” is, and it is. But for me, “End of Days” is my jam. When Angel shows up, out of nowhere, and pops Caleb in the face. To this day, I jump out of my chair and cheer.

I was eight or nine when I saw the Hellmouth episode

These two episodes, still bring tears to my eyes. It’s so rare to see so much love and gratitude in something so simple.

From

To be fair, Firefly had just been cancelled.

Yes yes, of course; Ben is Frank and Frank is Ben. Now: do we think Ben might have something to do with Frank?

Two episodes that stick out for me:

One of the episodes that I thought was incredibly clever yet never shows up on the ‘best of’ list was Buffy vs. Dracula.

I always liked how the show was an allegory of regular life circumstances and events, amplified through a supernatural lens. The demonic college roommate from Hell. The guy you sleep with who completely changes afterwards. The feeling of ‘what should I do with my life’ after high school and college. Finding the person

High school is hell... literally.

The episode “Fool For Love” was one of the best things I’ve seen. From the flashback breaking bit to the end where Spike lowers the shotgun, this episode is amazing.
