Those kids look bundled up. The quote from the above story says the kids left in the car, crying, were not. Not quite the same thing.

This is the truth. The idea that babies can't be left alone even for a second is not universal, and not necessarily correct.

I know it's not Halloween, but, uh... what happened there?

"PC!" is what farts out when some reactionary old white dude gets poked in his privilege.

I'd give you a hunert stars, just for that one.

It's like "SJW," it's a 100% accurate predictor that the speaker is an enormous jackass.

I immediately distrust anyone who even uses the term political correctness.

Unfortunately, your logic is way too logical for a certain subset of people to grasp.

Damn. It really is disturbing to see how invested people are in the "right" of professors to fuck undergrads. This right is apparently so sacred that the university shouldn't even attempt to enact a policy which would (effectively) merely discourage such relationships. I guess the welfare of students goes right out

For what it's worth, every University I've ever been affiliated with had an exception for people who were already coupled before the student enrolled.

true. i wasn't arguing nor was i implying that female professors having sex with their students was as big a problem as male professors having sex with their students.

My mom just was treated for breast cancer at the same hospital my sister worked at.... As an optometrist.

There is a possibility of a conflict of interest, and the ban removes that possibility.

A doctor probably shouldn't be treating their own spouse. And really, are there a LOT of places where it's the only hospital in town? You're reaching.

As a professor teaching higher-level classes for 3rd and 4th year students, I might make a point of only sleeping with 1st and 2nd year undergraduates who aren't my students.

Enh, it's not that simple at a university. If you start boinking a cardiologist and then suddenly need heart surgery, that cardiologist should NOT be the surgeon, regardless of whether you're now married, still banging, or broke up a while back (obviously this isn't always the case, but it is how the system is meant

We are talking about an academic environment, it is totally different.

The ban at Harvard discussed above is the equivalent to banning a doctor from sleeping with ANY patient of the hospital.

and hot chocolate!
