I think that they are not allowed to edit or add to the play? That is part of the issue. Instead they are going with student written monologues which I think is a cool idea and probably more inclusive. I'm not convinced though that vagina monologues is that offensive. Maybe I'm missing something.

I think it's just that it's also medically unnecessary, purely done for aesthetics. Also, dogs use their tails to communicate (mostly things like OMG I LOVE YOU I LOVE BALLS LET ME SNIFF YOUR BUTT) so I imagine taking them away impacts their communication. But I'm not an expert, so I dunno for sure.

Look, if you want an animal that can't claw you or your belongings, don't get a fucking cat. Even the best behaved cats may claw on furniture occasionally and cats very rarely claw a person without reason.
