Go, Xiang Xiaohan. Gotta love a 19-year-old with bravery.

I'm pretty sure Chinese history was just as kinky as Greek and Roman history when it comes to homosexuality.
Homosexuality has no place in Chinese culture? That's a political statement rather than historical on, though I guess that depends on which historical texts you decide to selectively read or ignore.
The thing so often ignored in this discussion is that for many, there really isn't a choice. Not everyone has a "career" and the "lack of flexibility" isn't a regret as much as a reality for the vast majority of people. As unromantic as it sounds, a lot of people aren't as concerned with fulfillment as they are with…
Obviously there are no gray areas for you. I'd be grateful if th only "unproper care" I received as a child was being left alone in car.
Yeah, because that would certainly scream "Hire me!" to a prospective job.
Not saying leaving then alone in a hot car is any better, since it clearly isn't. It's just a no-win situation.
Maybe they live out of town ... one can send money for bail long distances
What is that even supposed to imply?
Jesus, give it a fucking rest and stop being such an ass.
False. And I've used a ton of daycares.
Being homeless puts your children in danger. I don't believe it is ok to leave children alone in a car. I feel sorry for this woman because she did not have any other options. She's homeless and needs a job to provide for her children.
posters on another site (i believe HuffPost) said those programs have long waiting lists, so chances are she would have been in the same situation any way :/
EAT SHIT AND DIE!
This is so very sad... our country really should do more to help the poor and especially women who have children. When I read this story I immediately had an idea of why she left the kids in the car. People assume that it's easy for people to find a daycare or a babysitter when in actuality it isn't. Daycare is…
I don't think so. People are more educated on the dangers of leaving children unattended in cars. White or not, a two year old and a six month old alone in a car will get police response.
Was the interview for an office job? If so, Gwyneth Paltrow must be incredibly jealous, some moms have it so easy!
I live in Arizona and there are day cares in the valley that offer free day care to parents going on job interviews (e.g. http://www.sunrisepreschools.com/badge.html). It sounds like we need to do a better job of publicizing these options. What a sad story.
Remember friends, a celebrity juuuust made the news for stating that it's hard to be a millionaire mom on a movie set. It makes me want to just vomit.
I wish I could take away the jobs held by the sexist, racist, religious, capitalist and neoliberal lawmakers that get paid millions of dollars to fucking destroy this country and its people.
