agreed. 13-16 episodes is the perfect number IMO. Stranger Things had 8 episodes and while some would argue that was part of what made it successful, it just felt way too short to me.

I agree, but if they were going to make one of them too long, this should’ve been the one.

And since it was announced this far back, I think it’s clear it was neither a budget reduction nor based on feedback from the other shows.

Breaking news from February 2014? The episode count was announced over a year before Daredevil first premiered.

I think he meant the audience not caring, not the writer not caring. In other words, if I don’t care about a subplot but an episode is spent on the subplot, that doesn’t mean that episode was necessarily filler.

There’s also the fact that even shows that have as little as 8 episodes can still have “filler” eps. lol

The ‘filler’ complaint is bogus to me. Just because someone doesn’t care about something doesn’t make it filler.
