I almost died of cancer in 2011. I had last rites given. Somehow, I am back to a normal life, cancer-free. (I’m sure hacking off a few body parts helped that along). My wife was not even 40 and still beautiful, and personally I think there were a few guys planning to move in on her soon after I died. I wanted to talk

They should add a extra couple thousand to his student loans for being a douchecanoe.

That’s awesome of you! Our girls track uniforms, in the 90s, were practice shirts from the football team, complete with a giant football image and the school name. The boys’ track team got plain tank tops that they ironed numbers and names onto.

I like brothers-in-law, etc.

When I was in high school (in 1990) a girl on our cross-country team ran the entire season *while pregnant*. She had a perfectly healthy pregnancy and she told me later that her labor was one hour long and painless.

+1 for correct ‘passersby’

I was trying to have fun and be honest at the same time. I apologize if my fun came across as being snarky. I think you did a cool thing.

Yep... that would not have tickled.

I was on our first Title IX-enforced girl’s track team, and the boys’ team coach made our life miserable. But kharma got him twice 1) when an Olympic-quality girl moved into our township, taking the new girls’ track coach to States and beyond in his 2nd year of coaching (while this poor fellow still couldn’t get to

First Cloney, outfitted in a fedora and overcoat, physically tried to stop Switzer, but she avoided his clutches.

They often carried with them tiny boxes of body grown detritus, containers of hair, thread, rocks, skin, dirt, all of which they claimed grew from their skin and caused endless pain.

Actually, I have some personal anecdata about scratching and SSRIs - I used to scratch my legs (among other body parts) until they bled on a regular basis. I tried dozens of different kinds of lotions, shaving creams, waxes, epilators, and nothing made my legs less itchy. It was a little worse in winter, but they

It’s a lot like drug addiction (literally); it begins to control your life. Health and lifestyle suffer, depression kicks in.. I’m glad you were able to find a solution before things got really, really bad.

I’ve (thankfully) never had poison ivy, but you can see how it can develop into a compulsion, especially when it gets to a similar state as when you focus on your breathing and can’t get it back to automatic. That nice little neurotransmitter buzz from a scratch can certainly contribute to addiction.

There are a lot of people who continue to suffer after having lyme disease. Some of these people probably inaccurately believe they have an active Lyme infection, but it’s not unheard of for the body to have some kind of autoimmune response after an infection. We just don’t know enough about it yet.

Come to think of it, have we ever seen Joe and Ariana in the same place at the same time? What if.....
