What a load of bullS%*t! GM can get away with a slap on the wrist while VW, though not to excuse what they did to customers, is getting a huge shaft from the Feds. The wrong people/entities are being held accountable...

I’ve driven and checked out both, The GTI bests the WRX in space and fuel economy. It has roughly 3 cubic feet less passenger space, but a whopping +40 cubic feet more storage space. I’d say the difference is significant enough that I went with the GTI.
