All done with my recall repair. Everything looks good and i have pictures of the new and installed head gasket. Only 3k on mine as well and no symptoms to that point. I had a loaner the whole time and will end up with another loaner while the drivers door is replaced for a squeak that cannot be found.....

I enjoy both of those portraits - are they going in the library or the white house? (I may have missed where it said they were going). It would be a good reflection on modern times to see those at the WH over the normal classic ones.

Well... I guess we have a different idea on what a “full blown meltdown” is.

Let’s see.... I can think of a few more than two reasons than that.

I can’t agree on the looks - read some reviews online and the pictures they had certainly showed off the better traits of the car. When I went to see one in person, my view changed. The side profile, and the rear view just don’t sit well with me.... If you’re a fan of the 70's Camaro then it probably won’t be a big

What kind of mileage do you have on yours?

I have only seen one other than mine... not that I live in a crazy area, but I am in SoCal. There are still plenty sitting at the two dealerships near me. I purchased mine near the end of 2017 and the build date on the engine was November 2016... perhaps they’ll sale now that they’re getting the fix.

On a side note, I

I got the notification on the Ford app so my vehicle will be going in. I havent had any problems but I confirmed that I have the old head gasket. Too me, that just means it is a matter of time till it happens.... good to know the downtime isnt going to be terrible.

Hmm... AWD 475/470 full size SUV vs. AWD 335/385 mid size SUV. Could be interesting... it has a ~1000lb advantage between the two.

I am sure I will sound like a Ford apologist here but that isnt my reason for posting.

My favourite FF game and I think most of them are great. My tip.... draw sleep from one of the early enemies and attach it to squalls weapon. Makes most of the draw grind pretty easy. Also, always attempt to draw from every boss so you dont miss a GF that you want.

The honda wasnt on my list to drive but maybe I will. I like the 6sp in my RS but I also have a short shift ready to install and plan on getting a new spring for the clutch pedal. It needs just a little more from the factory to be perfect....

Was looking at the cx5 whipe waiting for a waaranty repair request on my RS and I just dont like the front end on them anymore. I had a first gen and enjoyed it bt the design language just makes the front end look huge. I dont think the gap between the top bumper and lower bumper looks that good in person. Same with

It isnt just the limited slip, but also the trick suspension setup up front. I dont know what Honda calls it but Ford was the RevoKnuckle.

I did not. I wasnt about launching the car so it was not a big deal to me (lots of wheel hop if you didnt take it easy in first though that could have just been how tight the suspension was and nothing to do with HICAS).

The drivers looked incredibly young as well..... I learned to drive on a manual B2000 before getting my Z32 TT and it honestly helped understand the basic fundamental of a rwd manual. I need to make sure my kids learn on a manual as well.

Yes - just go look up car crashes on youtube. Plenty of euro crashes....

Through the power of AWD.... my last car was running a 4.5 0-60 with somewhere around 1:11 weight ratio (GC SRT) and the new car is running a 4.5 0-60 with a 1:9.88 weight ratio (Focus RS). I will say that the RS feels a lot faster even though it’s right in that same range... mostly because of seating position and

Started driving in ‘96 and was a big fan of the Japanese Sports car market. My father had a FC RX7 so I almost picked up one except for an odd dent coming from inside the hood... ended up with an ‘85 Z31 2+2. After that, a ‘90 Z32 TT... loved the Nissan product more than the Supra and RX-7 but they’re great vehicles.

I just went back to a manual but in a much smaller vehicle (Focus RS) but the automatics of today can be quite good if you know what you are looking for. The DSG in the mk7 Gti and Golf R is excellent. The 8 speed in my GC SRT, when it wasnt rolling into unsuspecting owners, was solid.
