I don’t think it’s Lorne, I think it’s the writers. The writers are lazy. Very few sketches are interesting. Too many lazy jokes. They’ve overused “and this is real” when incorporating actual quotes in sketches, as well as other recycled jokes. Almost no sketch seems like it come out of the blue to surprise and delight

For the Hooters sketch to function at a higher level, she should have been the waitress who no one wanted for some reason, with Bowen as the favorite.  I also wanted to see the Sydney Sweeney Todd sketch.

I get it. For a second I wondered if it was a native feature in FaceTime that I had been missing. It’s more likely, however, that it’s software that the production installed on the “actors” phones so that they could capture FT, chats, etc.

I think these shows do society a favor by basically putting people like this in zoos, away from the rest of us.

lost in the mix was that Leviss was a victim of the predatory and dishonest behavior of an older man.”

It’s the issue that most piques my interest in this story, yes.

Followup question:  Do we really care either way?

Are those freckles or is a Predator about to blow a hole in her chest?

SCANDOVAL!

Imagine being assigned to write about this for low money on a blog. Desolation!

Part of me wonders if and hopes that this is all some elaborate marketing strategy to gin up interest, and it’ll surprise release in the summer. But most of me knows that Zazlav is just this much of a soulless fuckwit.

The story arc garnered the biggest ratings of the show’s run and its first two Emmy nominations.”

“You changed your name to Latrine?”
“Used to be Shithouse”
“It’s a good change. That’s a good change!”

I never cared for his standup, but he absolutely slayed me every time he was on Curb. And his Prince John was one of the few funny parts of Men in Tights.

“star of Curb Your Enthusiasm?” How DARE you disrespect Prince John like that!

Agreed, I recall reading an interview of Sara where they came off very much like an obnoxious college freshman after their first semester, lecturing and scolding everyone around them. If that characterization is true they must be annoying to be around, even for those 100% in their corner.

Che is fascinating to me; a character designed to appeal to a specific demographic, and that demographic rejects them outright.

Good riddance! Nothing ever tested the limits of my patience harder than this awful character.

Shhhh... don’t remind them. They might learn something.

I fucking love both Reis and Foster in this. Their performances are awesome, and it’s worth watching for that alone. Reis deserves a stellar career; she’s like a worthy heir to what Angela Bassett was like in 90s - an incredibly badarse who can be extremely vulnerable at the same time and be fully believable at both.
