Some lizard-brain reaction of “I’ll show them whose ego is least fragile!” will be the thing that governs their behavior. And once your in for a penny, there’s a whole crowd of people that probably think they’re better than you too. Top-tier decision making by our armed and therefore inherently polite society.

This was a mystery? My mother and I watched the film, and when we spoke about it afterward, the only question was if he changed which eye he was wearing a contact in from scene to scene, because the affected eye seemed to vary through the movie.

Well, I could see it if she’s leaving to produce a series of films in Tunisia and you want to continue to support the actors of tomorrow by remaining a high school drama teacher. But other than that...

“.....and with tears in his eyes he thanked me for making the best movie ever.

The only thing I really get out of this is how the #FilmTwitter early review hype crew have perfected the art of sounding so amazingly insincere and manufactured in everything they say.

By modern standards he was relatively short. You know who else was short by modern standards during that time? Pretty much everyone. He was in reality around 5'6" or 5'7" which was a little above average for the time. His death certificate measured him at 5'2" but that was using French measurements which were smaller

Especially if they’re going to drag it out like this. If you don’t want to do it, great, but then stop bringing it up. She’s right that the romantic tension tends to be the least interesting part of the show, but while it’s one thing to have a flat storyline, it’s worse to be TEASED with something I don’t care about.

I also don’t buy the two rules-following teachers being the ones to think a workplace romance is a good idea.

Will they/won’t they romances are invariably the worst part of any sitcom anyway — and they definitely includes Friends, before anyone starts warbling on about Ross and Rachel.

The show’s strength is showing us

That’s the intent, isn’t it? There needs to be a villain or at least someone putting obstacles in the heroes’ way. And I don’t think they want to portray any of the teachers as anything less than trying their best. But once you get over the fact that her character is a necessary clown to create conflict, she becomes

She’s right, it’s super hackey storytelling.

PS5 is already showing it’s age hardware wise

It was the opposite, the PS5 Slim got a price increase. The digital PS5 is $399 and the digital slim is $449. Then if you decided to get the disc drive down the road for $79 the PS5 Slim costs $519 but if you get the bundle you save $20. I don’t think we’ve ever seen a console increase in price midway through its life

If it’s so old, it should cost less. There being no price drop when the PS5 slim was released was a slap in the face to consumers everywhere.

I find it odd how this surprises people.

Man, I have a few games on the PS5 (like 5?) but honestly feel like there’s been so little I care about on it. I feel like at this rate I’m going to end up owning fewer PS5 games than Wii U games. I think it’s the first console I might regret buying. I hope KH4 at least comes out on it.

an A Fish Called Wanda musical

As someone pointed out a few days ago, this stuff has a limited shelf life. How many more times can you repurpose 40-50 year old material? MST3K is putting out new material, and even they couldn’t get enough money on their most recent kickstarter to fund a new season. Kids in the Hall aren’t getting a second season on

Idle’s points are stronger - in this age of streaming and IPs being hoovered up, it’s bizarre that MP sits there on ice, barely shown, nothing new coming up. MST3K for crying out loud has several channels and projects ongoing.

Ee’s not dead. Ee’s stunned.
